That's I think, that's definitely true. I think people some people are just naturally gifted, they are born with the body, their response faster stronger to the same amount of training volume and intensity that, a less talented, 01, it's all genetics, but does this doesn't mean that the last talented one will not catch up. It may just take a little Longer because their body doesn't adapt as strong as a natural talent that one, keeping The Talented ones engaged, as definitely very, very challenging as a coach. I've had athletes that things just come easy to them and when when you are not challenged, well, when you don't feel challenged in training that does become, An issue. I think it is important to to to make them understand that the dumbest approach that they can have two training is that is achieved success and expect that staying at the top of their game is something that will not require effort. So I try to make them see that although they respond faster to the the Training those that are not as talented will continue to work to catch up. So, it's a never stopping train if they get to the station. First, that doesn't mean that the trains behind them are not going to catch them. It just maybe we'll take that. It will take others longer to achieve the same success, or get to the same station, but I always try to get them ground. This try to or help them stay humble, which is not always easy, but it does become a challenge over time to coach someone that's incredibly talent that. But yeah, I mean, I try to tell them every day. Never settle. Never stop working hard to achieve what you want.

Coaches have to try to keep talented athletes engaged and humble by reminding them that success doesn't come easy. It's important for them to understand that others may take longer to reach their level of success, so they should never stop working hard to achieve their goals.

I try to instill the mindset that success is not a destination but an ongoing journey. Just because they may reach a certain level first doesn't mean that others won't eventually catch up. I encourage them to stay humble and never settle, reminding them to keep working hard to achieve their goals.

Why don’t more professional triathletes live in Hawaii?

Triathlete Dilemma: Why Living in Hawaii Holds Limitations

Well, I know a few reasons why I wouldn't live in a way but the main one would be, it's an eyelid you're limited to where you can get on your bike because there's really not a lot of roads and you have to fly out of the island, every time you want to go Pete. Because in reality, there's only two or three triathlons in in a way that it's worth going. Or being there. I'm pretty sure there's smaller events but still, it's very limiting to live on an island. Even even when you see procrastinates going to eat islands, like Majorca or lamb sorority, no one really lives there. Full time, it's very rare that you find progress is living on an island just because it's limiting and we're talking when we About the islands in Spain. We're talking about Islands, there are very close to the mainland. A why? The if you want to fly into Continental us, it's a five-hour flight five or six if you fly to the West Coast. So it's limiting to how much you can actually compete. And in terms of writing, there's not that many roads, you can go to Captain Cook, you can go to White kilo and I'm up mountains but it's very limiting. And lastly, I think we're why is quite expensive groceries. The cost of living in a waii is high because everything namely the foods and triathletes, do eat a lot of foods, everything is a little more pricey because they have to fly in with it or ship it on a big ship container. So everything is a little more expensive and pro triathletes are not known for having a wealthy lifestyle. So the cost of living is not cheap, it's very limiting in terms of where you compete because you have to fly out and roads are not great. I mean the queen K is great but other than that, there's not a lot of road to where you can cycle.

How important is it for competitive triathletes to be very lean? 

Trimming the Fat: The Key to Speed for Competitive Triathletes

Well, we're endurance athletes that carry our weight through the entire event. So obviously we don't want to carry extra weight. It's like carrying a camel back. When you go running, if you're carrying two pounds or four pounds of water every time you go out on your run, you're carrying a lot of weight and on cycling. It also is important once per kilo. So the A power that you output to your body weight is important. So if we reduce the body weight, and if we try to keep the power that we're outputting, we're moving faster. Actually in cycling when the course is flat, there's not a lot of Hills import. The importance of what's per kilo is not as high as on courses where you actually have to fight gravity. So and courses, where you're going uphill. Um, but still watts per kilo is very important on the bike. And then when you run, you do tend to have to carry your weight. So you want to, if you're carrying less weight, you move faster or you need less energy to move faster that the tendency for going to lean into race day is also a serious issue with triathletes. And what I tell most people people is you don't want to get too so close to the limit of how lean you can get because we all have different limits, a lower limit to how lean we can get. We you don't want to go into race a to lean because that means your body starts to go into self preserve reference mode and it's not going to go any further down if you get too close to your limit. And the limit the lower limit of how lean you can get is different for everyone. Your body is on using fat because it's not going to go any leaner, it's impossible to go 0% and before that your body starts to break down muscle to reduce expenditure. So don't go to lean, but being clean is important for triathletes.

Triathletes should try to reduce their body weight as much as possible without going too lean. Carrying less weight will help them move faster, and watts per kilo is especially important on courses with a lot of hills. However, going too lean can be detrimental; the lower limit for how lean someone can get varies from person to person.

When it comes to running, we have to carry our weight, so being lean allows us to move faster and requires less energy. However, it's important not to get too close to the limit of how lean we can get. Each person has a different lower limit, and going beyond that can lead to the body going into self-preservation mode, hindering performance. It's crucial to strike a balance and avoid going too lean, as the body may start breaking down muscle instead of using fat for energy.

Are there any strength exercises particularly beneficial to triathletes?

Maximize Triathlon Performance with Key Strength Exercises

I like to not restrict the strength exercise to two or three, because there's a lot of things you can do on the gym. There will help you on the, your Triathlon career. But there are two very specific movements that most triathletes do. And they're all part of any Triathlon strength program, and I think there there would be beneficial and essential one. Is lat pull down because swimming is all about engaging. Those lats develop that strength to pull and when your arm is your high elbow, arm is in the correct position to leverage those lats. So not just you have to work there them in the gym or you can't work them in the gym. But also getting a proper swim position that actually engages, the lat is key. And the Sir. One that's very, very cycling running specific would be dead lifts. Not just dead lifts as in many reps with with medium weight. But also the deadlifts are with and, and work on maximum strength, doing the deadlifts is something that actually translates into more power on the bike and better running strength. Be careful with the deadlifts because having a proper lift form on that website is key, not just to build proper strength but also to avoid injury. So if you're new to that list, I would strongly encourage you to have either a personal trainer help you with with a movement or do what YouTube videos. I mean, YouTube videos are pretty good but left. It's very light weight and do it in front of of a mirror just to make sure you're having a proper form before going into maximum strength and taking the most out of that movement. The lat pulldown is not something that it's not as dangerous, but the deadlift movement is something that could. You could easily hurt your back lower back doing it.

Triathletes should include lat pulldowns and deadlifts in their strength training programs. Lat pulldowns help engage the lats, which is important for swimming, while deadlifts can lead to greater power on a bike and running strength. Make sure to use proper form when doing deadlifts to avoid injury.

What is one thing missing from the puzzle of you becoming the athlete you’ve dreamed of?

The Missing Puzzle Piece: Sacrifice & Youth in Achieving Athletic Dreams

I think obviously most probably will will tell you that's natural ability or talent. But in reality I think the the difference between the athletes that I was at my very Peak success and the athlete that I am today or the athlete that I can still become before I officially retire would be the amount Out of sacrifice that I'm willing to make to do the training necessary to become that athlete. So when I look back at my Peak years in terms of results, I look and I see that I was doing a lot more, sacrifice that I that I am doing today and then obviously the amount of sacrifice and that the amount of commitment you make Makes a big difference between whether you do reach your potential at the, on the certain time of your career or not, and obviously, I'm not getting any younger. So if there's one thing missing right now is that I'm not young enough. So I'm not adapting and recovering as fast as I was a few years ago. So the sick, the sacrifice that one makes and obviously Early age would be would be maybe one or two things that are missing in the puzzle of becoming the athlete that I dream of, or the athlete that I could still be today or in the future.

The difference between the athlete I was at my peak and what I am today is the amount of sacrifice I am willing to make in order to reach my potential. My age is becoming a factor in my ability to adapt and recover quickly.

How good was the Ironman World Championship coverage from a company worth over 1 billion dollars?

Ironman World Championship: Limited Coverage, Entertaining but Disappointing

I think that I'm an world man Championship coverage tends to be very limited to the, their resources on the island. Specially there are just not enough resources to provide tours, friends type of coverage. So obviously the company is worth, it may been be worth 1 billion dollars, but if there's no resources infrastructure to actually provide a good Coverage it's extremely hard. I did I do wish they did a better. I mean I think it's always hard to to provide a good coverage on a individual event where everyone is so spread out when we're talking about when we compare it to the tour friends, we're talking about packs of big packs of people, they're not spread out that much and even if they are people don't cover it or the the The coverage doesn't really cover the people in the back. They want to know about the race at the front. So overall, I don't think it was that bad. I think. I think it was pretty decent, I think it was a very entertaining. Now, the YouTube video which was the one that I actually saw with the highlights that was extremely hard to go through. Because every five minutes, there was a commercial not just from the coverage itself but also the YouTube Community. Commercial. So I think it became more of like it is football in America. Just a bunch of commercials in between a little bit of action and coming from Europe, I did I do want a little bit more of action, a little bit less of commercials but I mean this is how coverage is profitable. They have to make it profitable so I don't think it was that bad. It was entertaining. And then they'll the the highlights was a little bit disappointed for me for this appointing for me.

Coverage of the world championship was limited due to lack of resources, but it was still decent and entertaining. The YouTube highlights video was a bit disappointing because there were too many commercials in between the action.

It felt like there were more commercials than actual action, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, it's understandable that coverage needs to be profitable, and commercials are a part of that.

In conclusion, while there were limitations and some disappointments, the Ironman World Championship coverage was still entertaining, considering the circumstances.
