Thanks very question. James Swift what separates Podium winners from world champions? And I think my answer is simple, it's just belief. Everybody on the podium has the ability to be the world champion. Second, and third place aren't much different than first place could be S. Could be inches. Could be CM that separate first second and third, but the person who's the world champion, I think has got to have a strong belief. I didn't find my belief until later in my career, but once I did everything in my power, My life changed the things that I ate the time that I went to bed, the people that I spent my time with the time in the weight room and I'm the track, certainly for for me, as a track and field athlete, everything changed. When I had that belief and that determination to be the world champion. Everybody works hard, but a world champion, I think works just a little bit harder or world. Champion is a little bit more, dedicated pays a little bit more attention to detail and sometimes it could be one or all of those things. But I think it starts with the belief. First of all that you not only can be a world champion that you believe that you are a world champion.

Hey, James. That's a good question. What separates? The podium winner from a world champion? Well really, when you get to that level and you have the ability to make it in the top three, we all had the same type of disposition work ethic. I think that thing that separates the champion, the ultimate Champion is the person that can put everything together on that given day. Yes, we all are doing nutrition. We all are stretching. We all have our I meant to advise us we all like getting out with rest, but on the day of competition, who was the one that's able to put it all together to dig deeper to run faster to throw further to swim faster, who was that person? And that is the one that will be the ultimate Champion. So again, I think the one that is able to put everything together on that final day, that separates the podium champion from the other people. That takes second or third.

What separates Podium winners from world champions? I believe that. Excuse me, my dog, I believe that that ultimately is separated by There's certain grit and desire that comes with the world champion, that separates separates a champion from the podium Winner's Podium winners are also Champions but at the same time, in my opinion I'm trying to I'm trying to make you quit doing the same event that I do when we're competing at the highest level. So I'm not Trying to embarrass you, but I just want to do something so spectacular that will hopefully make you understand who the champion is. And that's just a mindset. That doesn't mean that, that's what I'm believing in truly, but it's a mindset going into being whether I'm going to be a Podium winner or be the ultimate world champion at the end of the day. But I think it's just the drive and desire on those certain days. That He's able to put together. I think Joetta Clark had mentioned something similar to that about everybody's pretty much the same but on that given day you just are able to put things together a little bit better and time management things a little bit better and understand some fine details a little bit better than the next person. So it's a fine line between being good and great. So Let's go.

Per diem one is from world champions of everyone. Trains hard everyone. You know everyone works hard but it's being a champion mindset 24/7. That's really important for me. I'm being world-class behaviors all the time, not just three times a week or run training outside of the pool going to bed. Early high performance sport is boring. You have to be a boring person but she during the week, it's resting. But yeah, it's us. What is if only the best as we could, I do?

Hi James. How are you mate? Thank you for asking this question. It's a tough one for me to answer as far as what differentiates Podium Place skaters and world champions. Because in Sydney 2000 at the Olympic Games, I qualified for 100 backstroke in Lane three and on the left of me, was the current world record holder in Blaine. For Lenny, crows albergue. And I'd had a great preparation, you know, physically. I was ready for that race, but I hadn't done the mental. Operation and the emotional preparation for that race. And so when we'd all been introduced and it was that that so small quiet moment between the last introduction and the whistle being blown, the only thought that was going through my head was that I can't win this race. And at that time I had been training for 16 years. It was a seven-year preparation from first knowing that the Sydney Olympic Games was going to be held in my country and so you know my message to you And anyone else that's watching this is, you know, it's so much more than just physical preparation and you know, do the mental work, do whatever preparation that you need to do so that when you get to that critical moment, you believe in your heart that you can win because that is the difference between people who get silver and bronze medals and make finals, and people who win World Championships and Olympic gold medals.

Hey, James, Sometimes only the mentality, you know, training-wise, 46, everything, eating sleeping. They're all the same. Everybody's very everyone is very capable of achieving and being on, on the top, but it's the mentality that you approach the race with, you know, be living in you being confident, not trying to manage those nerves and Society. Everyone has them. So, how much are you going to let them control you? So, I feel like, I feel like It's all mental the last bit of the racing. I mean, the last building mean like not the training part, but from the day they got to the pool, they warm up, they get this suit on and then they walk to the to the first goal room to let off mental games in it, and everyone is the top of the top and what they're doing, but the person that gets to separate from the rest, it has to do a lot with the mental aspect, in my opinion.
