So I think it's important to understand part of being an adult is Liking some things about people and not liking other things. Okay You're not gonna love everything from a mentor nor are you gonna agree with everything from a mentor, but it's Being able to navigate that and and take the things you like and the things you really agree with It's good for people to disagree. Okay, I think it's a mistake to surround yourself with people That just tell you what you want to hear and tell you how great you are. You need people that hold you accountable And disagree with you. Okay, and now that doesn't mean you're it's gonna switch your opinion necessarily, but it's good to see Another side of things. Okay, look at things from a lot of different angles can really help you as a coach and as an athlete So you can disagree It doesn't mean you're gonna have problems with this person. It just means you disagree on this certain subject You may like another thing about this person. So it's part of I find interesting as a coach is you see a lot of great coaches that get criticized for one thing Or something they did or whatnot, but they're really strong in some other areas Now that doesn't mean you can't learn from these people. Okay? You like some things you dislike other things. That's part of being an adult. That's part of being a human being and It's important, you know I think it's immature and young when you just see one thing you dislike and you you throw the person away Okay, human beings are complex. We have a lot of different things About us and you can learn from everyone even people that you disagree with vehemently So don't discard those people they can be useful to help you grow
