I remember a surfing session 6 years ago in Los Roques, Venezuela. It was one of the best waves I ever surfed and I surfed for about six to seven hours straight, which is the longest session I've ever had in my life. Transcript: "For this question, I definitely remember one session in my life. It was about six years ago back in Venezuela. Los Roques, which is an archipelago in Venezuela. It's beautiful and just the most beautiful water you've ever seen. It's usually not good for surfing but when the right swell comes it's definitely one of the best waves I've ever surfed in my life. It's the best waves in Venezuela. I remember I woke up at like 6:00 in the morning and I went surfing, and I surfed for about six to seven hours, probably, straight. It was definitely the longest time I've ever surfed living my life and I won't forget that anytime soon."
El Salvador has the best surfing I've ever had, with great right-hand point breaks and friendly locals. Transcript: "Well, obviously, it's pretty hard to just pick one place because there are a lot of good places for surfing around the world. But in my experience, the best surfing I've ever had in my life have been in El Salvador in Central America, just really good right-hand, point breaks. I'm a regular so it's definitely just a dreamy place for me. Warm water. The locals are super friendly. And it's definitely one of my favorite places for surfing."
The most beautiful part of surfing is the connection it provides with the ocean, nature, and other surfers- it's like a family. Transcript: "For me, the most beautiful part of my sport, which is surfing, has to be the connection. The connection with the ocean, the connection with mother nature, the people that you meet along the way. When you're part of the family of surfing, you're part of the mafia. It's like you're never getting out. And I heard that from Kelly Slater and that always sticks with me. Surfing is a family, and I think just being part of that is one of the coolest things in the sport."
Everyone should start on a longboard to build strong foundation and get better quicker. Transcript: "I just love coaching surfing, so I really enjoy answering these questions. You can refer to the answers that I have posted already, but absolutely I just wanted to elaborate that you absolutely everybody should start on a longboard no matter how fit you are already. It's just going to help you build a really strong foundation and you'll get better way quicker."
Surfing is an amazing source of happiness for me because it allows me to disconnect from my problems and relax in the ocean. Transcript: "Well honestly, I feel like surfing does almost everything for my happiness. It's like whenever you go to serve, it doesn't matter if you have problems in your life with war, with relationships with anything. Once you touch the water and you're in the ocean, you just one with the nature you're just enjoying what you have right in front enjoying the waves, you leave everything else out of the water and you're you know, just relaxing and having like a Like a therapy session almost, so. So yeah. I think serving is definitely one of the happiest sports in the world for sure."
The biggest surf competitions are the world tour events of the World Surfing League, with the Pipe Masters in Pipeline, Hawaii being a personal favorite. It's one of the best barrels in the world and it's super exciting to watch. Transcript: "Well, the biggest surf competitions are their world tour events of the world, surfing League? They're just the best Surfers in the world in usually the best waves in the world. My personal favorite is the pipe Masters in pipeline Hawaii. The way if it's just, you can be pretty scary. It's one of the best barrels in the world and yeah, guys just standard there and it's super exciting to watch."
