Transfer of training exercises is dependent on the goal and can be used to improve technical skills such as running faster or being stronger. Examples include deadlifts and squats for lower body strength. Transcript: "What are your thoughts on the transfer of training exercises? And what are some examples? All depends on what the goal is. If we're looking for a physiological physiological adaptation for trainings exercises into sport, then we're going to choose specific things to train, traits, to train adaptations. If we're looking for training exercises, such as basketball skills, soccer skills, then we're going to work those technical things to transfer into being better. Better. Technically an example of this is if I want a player to be better at running faster and a simple exercise might be training the hamstrings more and doing it are DL. Maybe I need a pit, a player to be stronger, an athlete to be stronger, in their lower body, when they're holding off a Defender. So I might get them better at a hip dominant Movement, Like a deadlift or need dominant Movement Like squat."
The intent of using a bosu ball is to improve balance, coordination, and stability. It should not be used as the main strength movement for lower body exercises, as it may not challenge the user enough. The selection, volume, and intensity should all be taken into consideration when selecting exercises with a bosu ball. Transcript: "Why do BOSU balls get a bad reputation? Simply because of selection, intent, volume, intensity. What is the intent of this exercise? Why are we doing it? How much are we doing on it? The exercise selection can be incorrect. If we're using a BOSU ball for our main strength movement for our lower body, we're probably missing the boat."
