How do you create show notes and transcripts for your episodes?

Rev is a great option for show notes or transcripts but because of the niche audience and terms often used, only get 85-90% accuracy rate. Test out different options to see what works best.

Transcript: "So the question is, how do you create show notes or transcripts for your episodes? So there's a couple options out there. There's some really, really good ones and some really. So so ones, the one that I found is the most efficient, and I get the best results out of is Rev, I'm sure you guys have heard of it, it's about a dollar, a minute is what it breaks down to be. But the problem is is because we have such a niche audience. Audience. And because we talked a lot of military law enforcement, we use a lot of acronyms and a lot of slang terminology. So I find that I only get about an 85 to 90 percent accuracy rate on it. So I still have to go back and edit it myself which at that point I might as well just kind of type it out as I go so hit and miss RAV is really great. There's a lot of other ones out there, cheaper ones as well so test it around. See what works best for you."

Question asked, was, how do you create show notes and transcripts for your episodes? If you're recording in Zoom, there are a lot of apps that you can attach. When you hit record, it actually uses AI to transcribe the entire session and then it sends you an email of the transcription. So definitely a, I don't want to mention any specific apps because probably about a time you view this, those apps will have changed but I will give you You to one is note, note lee. And the other is R.A. I, if you just Google or search for show note transcriptions, a lot of things will pop up and it's best to use a. I, some of them are free and some of them are very inexpensive. So that's what I recommend. And as far as posting it to your blog, if you have an assistant, you can just hand him those notes. It's or you can hand the transcription to an editor and it depends really on your budget. Or you can be the editor yourself. It depends on how many hats you're wearing. I don't like to wear too many hats. I just want to host the show but that's me depends on your budget.
