Okay, can doula services help families with neurodiverse children? So great question. So a doula is a support person that gives physical support, emotional support, partner support, advocacy, and education throughout the entire perinatal period. So we will see a lot of birth and labor doulas, and then there are also postpartum doulas. So the point of a labor and birth doula is to assist both the mom during the birth and her partner. And then the postpartum doula's responsibility is to help and nurture during the postpartum period or the trimester four period. So doulas really help with the birth, perinatal, breastfeeding, postpartum, that space, not so much in the neurodiverse space. Now if your doula or postpartum doula has extra training in the neurodiverse field, they can definitely help with siblings who may be neurodiverse. But I would personally look at ABA therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists who are well known in this field. Doulas are more for the perinatal birth labor atmosphere, not so much in the neurodiverse field unless there is extra training that the doula can help you with with siblings. So can doula services help family with neurodiverse children? Again, depends on their training. But for the majority of the time, it's going to be around the postpartum perinatal birth labor field.

The sound that can be associated with the adjustment is just gas escaping the joint as if you were to crack your fingers. Listen, you have to communicate with your chiropractor and your chiropractor should be communicating to you why they are using the technique that you're using. And then also my personal philosophy is that if you're already gonna be stressed out or nervous about the adjustment, maybe taking a step back and using a different technique, easing your way up to a more manual adjustment, but it ultimately comes down to the communication that you have between your chiropractor and yourself. So if this is something that you are truly nervous about and you're not seeing any benefit from, I would just have an open discussion to your chiropractor explaining like, hey, this is how I feel. Is there any way that we can change techniques? So there are tons of techniques within the chiropractic profession that can give the same result, if not a very close result to a manual adjustment. So I would 100%, you know, again, have that conversation with your chiropractor. I would not be scared and nervous about getting your neck cracked, but then again, I am a chiropractor. So again, going back to that communication piece to make sure that you are feeling comfortable and confident and getting results that you deserve.

So the question is when should someone be concerned that their shoulder blades aren't healing if they've been sore for 10 weeks? So there's a couple different factors to consider one. Was there any injury to the shoulder blades? Is this a chronic posture issue? Is this a any type of chronic overuse issue of the musculature in the middle back or around the shoulder blades as well? Other things to consider are what have you been trying to do any rehab chiropractic care? Are there stretches so on and so forth? So again depending on those factors if they aren't healing Definitely definitely definitely going to the PCP to rule out any other pathologies your PCP will more than likely order some type of imaging such as x-rays if you haven't had them already ultrasound potentially an MRI or CT just to make sure that everything is clear and there's no pathologies to be nervous about so we're concerned about rather So again, when should someone be concerned that their shoulder blades aren't healing if they've been sore for 10 weeks? 10 weeks is a pretty decent amount of time, but we also have to look into any chronicity factors, lifestyle factors, what you've been doing to try to heal those shoulder blades, any PT, chiro, OT, things like that that could potentially be helping as well. So again, definitely check out with your PCP to rule out any type of pathologies that may be underlying, causing any type of tension, pain, or soreness for the past weeks.

What tools do you use to reduce stress in pregnant women? So great question. First and foremost, stress is not always the enemy. It is our inability to adapt to stress that is actually the issue. So first and foremost, chiropractic care, especially in a nervous system focused office, because chiropractic care and the adjustments helps you or pregnant women to adapt better to stress. Second tool would be movement. So whether that looks like a workout or a long walk, or even a short walk, that is also going to be super beneficial to reduce stress. Third is going to be nourishment. So making sure that we are eating throughout the day, especially as pregnant women, we wanna make sure that we are filling our gas tanks with fuel. The fourth thing is meditation or prayer. So depending on what your practice looks like, this can also be huge, also very well documented to what meditation and prayer can do to our brain and also to reduce stress. Number five would be a gratitude practice. So also very well documented how gratitude helps to reduce stress and also impacts our brain. My tip for this would also to say things that you are grateful for out loud. This helps to impact and imprint permanent changes in our brain to also reduce stress as well. And then finally, making sure that you find a team of support, whether that is a small circle of support, that's helping our moms like church groups, family, friends, and then a larger circle of support, whether that looks like providers. So chiropractors, trainers, pelvic floor PTs, people who are here to cheer you on, all these things are gonna be beneficial to reduce stress in pregnant women.
