Who do you think is the GOAT athlete from all sports?

Uncovering the GOATs: From Phelps to Felix, the greatest athletes of all time revealed!

I tell you what. I have loved watching every one of the experts that have answered this question and they reasons why they have chosen the certain athlete or athletes that they think is the greatest of all time in history of All Sport. And whether that's because they've had to overcome adversity or they've had the longest career or the handle. The most amount of pressure. Everybody has their views on what makes the greatest of all time. I've gone through Listen to all the answers of all the other experts and I've taken a few notes. It seems to me that there is Michael Phelps, Michael, Jordan, Tom, Brady Kelly Slater. Tiger Woods is right up there. Usain Bolt, Eddy. Merckx, Muhammad Ali Gretzky, Bo Jackson, Jesse, Owens, Floyd Mayweather, the lists go on and on. what I noticed in all of those names is there wasn't a lot of females mention and I think we have plenty to talk about for me personally, Allyson Felix watching her compete over for Olympic span gold, meddling in every one of them in a Sprint, you know, the 100 200 200 400. We really do 200, 400, just in the moment. One of the most beautiful Runners. I think I've ever seen run. I just think her athleticism is off the charts. Oh Allyson. Felix, big shout out to you from me on that. I like to look at tennis because that is a very popular sport around the world and I'm going to give a shout out to Margaret Court. The Australian twenty four grand slams. Yes, Serena Williams has 23. And yes, I think Serena Williams is absolutely off the charts and amazing and sober Steffi Graf and some of the greatest female tennis players we've ever seen. I also didn't mention that Federer was also mentioned in many of the other people's ideas of what they thought was a Great at greatest of all time. So Federer was there. I'd also that you got to add Nadal and Djokovic to the tennis equation. Then you have to look at a sport like soccer. It's hard, not to look at the greatest soccer players because it's the most popular sport in the world. Everybody plays it. And so most watch sport in the world. So to get to become the greatest all-time soccer player. It's hard to say, you're not one of the greatest all-time athletes of all time. So you've got to look at Ronaldo and Messi and Pele. Maradona, you can't put him in that list, then guess? What's the second most popular? Played sport and watch sport cricket? Nobody's talked about Cricket. Don Bradman bring Australian. We gotta have Don Bradman in that equation of greatest all-time athlete. And then you think hang on. What was the one sport that every kid does? Every kid, no matter what they run. They run at the age of five. Everybody's done a running race by then. Who's the greatest runner of all time. I've said Allyson Felix already. You got to add in Hussein, bolt big time and meals out of pepper. He was mentioned. He was mentioned by someone, but the guy won the 5K 10K and the marathon at to Olympics. Doesn't happen anymore. Nothing like that. The guy was absolutely off the chart. So I think I've covered a lot in that. We also didn't mention Jack Nicklaus. We've talked about Tiger Woods, but Jack, Nicklaus still has more of the majors. So, I think, I think that's pretty good cover. I think we pretty much did everybody. Special. Shout out to Kelly Slater after just winning pipeline. Thirty years, after he won his first. I mean, the guys now is 50. He was five days. Shy of 50, come on. So anyway, that's my one greatest athlete of all time. There you go. Cheers.

Each of these athletes has proven their greatness in different ways, but all should be recognized for the amazing accomplishments they have achieved.

When it comes to determining the greatest athlete of all time across all sports, there are numerous opinions and perspectives. Many experts have shared their thoughts on this matter, highlighting athletes like Michael Phelps, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Kelly Slater, Tiger Woods, Usain Bolt, Eddy Merckx, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Bo Jackson, Jesse Owens, and Floyd Mayweather, among others.

However, it's worth noting that there is a lack of female athletes mentioned in these discussions. Personally, I admire Allyson Felix for her incredible achievements in sprinting, winning gold medals and medaling in multiple Olympic Games. Her athleticism and running style are truly remarkable.

In the realm of tennis, Margaret Court deserves recognition for her 24 Grand Slam titles, although Serena Williams, Steffi Graf, and other female tennis players are also exceptional. In addition, tennis greats like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic cannot be overlooked.

Considering the popularity of soccer worldwide, it's difficult to ignore the greatest soccer players. Ronaldo, Messi, Pele, and Maradona are all contenders for the title of the greatest soccer player of all time.

Cricket, the second most popular sport globally, brings Don Bradman into the conversation as one of the greatest athletes. His achievements in the sport are unparalleled.

Lastly, running is a sport that virtually every child participates in. Allyson Felix and Usain Bolt have already been mentioned, but we must also acknowledge Emil Zátopek, who won the 5K, 10K, and marathon at two Olympic Games.

While this list covers many exceptional athletes, it's important to give a special shoutout to Kelly Slater, who recently won at Pipeline at the age of 50, thirty years after his first victory. His longevity and success in surfing are truly remarkable.

Ultimately, determining the greatest athlete of all time is subjective and open to interpretation. Cheers to all these incredible athletes and their remarkable achievements.

If you had to compete in a triathlon relay, which leg would you do and who would you pick to take the other two disciplines?

That's an easy one Peter. I think the bike for me. I feel like I could probably fake the bike pretty well these days still even though I'm not very fit compared to five, six, seven years ago. I think, although I would, if I had to travel anywhere, I wouldn't want to do the bike ride because I don't have to travel with my bike. So I probably picked the run or maybe the swim. But yeah, if I had to travel probably the run and if it was local, I do the bite. Cheers, mate.

If I had to travel, I would probably pick running over biking, but if it's local, I would choose biking.

If I had to compete in a triathlon relay, I would choose the bike leg. Despite not being as fit as I was in the past, I still feel confident in my ability to handle the bike portion. However, if I had to travel for the event, I might opt for the run or swim instead, as I wouldn't have to deal with transporting my bike. If the event was local, I would happily take on the bike leg. Greg Bennett: From Pro Triathlete to Podcast Host & Entrepreneur

Hey Eduardo, who am I outside of my sport? Well, I am outside of my sport. I retired five and a half years ago from being a professional triathlete, which I was for 25 years and that was a great career and I spent a couple of years after that doing a little bit of coaching after that II, then started a podcast called the Greg Bennett Show where I interview a lot of great high-performing, people doing remarkable things. There's a lot of triathletes on there, a lot of triathlon coach has They tend to be the low hanging fruit for me, but there's also entrepreneurs entertainers. Doctors, physiologists a lot of really great interesting conversations there that comes out weekly. I also work here on this platform, any question which had Baker, who's the founder and CEO of any question. Brought me the idea of any question back in April of 2021, and I immediately loved the whole concept. About it. And so that's become. My full-time position is working with Ed and their remarkable team of people. Now working in the background of any question, that's incredible place to be and I'm incredibly grateful for that. Yes. I'm married to Laura Bennett who was also multiple Olympian and just fantastic triathlete. She we now have two kids Foreigner. You're old and no pets. And in terms of hobbies. I like to enjoy my workouts every morning, you know, usually, anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour every morning whether that's biking or running or going to the gym. I've tried to put on a little bit of muscle since retiring and I also play tennis with Laura when we can on the weekends. And otherwise, it's go for a walk on the beach every single night. After dinner. I live in South, Florida. So getting to the beach every single night. Night is a must especially after a long day of work and am I super serious or maybe relaxed? I think probably serious when I need to be but relaxed probably most of the time. Cheers, mate.

On the podcast, I interview high-performing individuals from various fields, including triathletes, entrepreneurs, entertainers, doctors, and more. It's a weekly show that I really enjoy.

Currently, I work with Ed Baker, the founder and CEO of Any Question. I joined the team in April 2021 and it has become my full-time position. I'm grateful to be part of such an incredible company.

Outside of work, I'm married to Laura Bennett, who is also a fantastic triathlete and multiple Olympian. We have two kids and no pets. As for hobbies, I enjoy my workouts every morning, whether it's biking, running, or going to the gym. I've been focusing on building some muscle since retiring. On weekends, Laura and I play tennis together. And every night after dinner, I make it a point to go for a walk on the beach since I live in South Florida. It's a must for me, especially after a long day of work.

Where do you live and what do you like and not like about it?

Dual Hemisphere Living: From Australia to Canada to Florida

Hey, Eduardo, good question, mate. Well since 1994, I've been basically, splitting locations between Southern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere living summer to summer. In Australia. Those home bases were either Sydney the snowy mountains of Australia and jindabyne and thredbo or a loss of that time, was in a town called Noosa Australia, since 2002, 2015, or whatever, Noosa was the location, the Northern Hemisphere throughout the 90s. It was always through. Europe, France, Germany, Czech Republic, little bit in Spain and then probably from about 2000 and 2006. We'd spend the summer in Victoria Canada, absolutely amazing place to train and just great people. We then move to Boulder, Colorado in 2006. We moved to Boulder and we were there until well, this past year. We sold our home, only a few months ago. So, now I'm in South Florida where my wife is from and her whole family in here. Bye. And it's a pretty great place in the winter months, in the u.s. Love the beaches. Love the ocean, not going to lie. I miss a little bit of the the mountains. It's not exactly a venture as playground down here, unless it's in the ocean. So I do miss that a little bit. But otherwise, it's a pretty great place, but I am looking forward to getting back to Australia and I would actually call home in my heart is still Sydney. Cheers, mate.

Which is my favorite episode of the Greg Bennett Show. Well, I really, in all honesty have loved every single one of them. I started the show because I wanted to try and learn from the best and have conversations with remarkable people and I've been so spoiled. I'm almost up to my hundredth episode and every single one of them has been special and unique whether they're an athlete, a coach and Entertainer an entrepreneur. It's In absolutely amazing. It's very hard for me to pick one. I could go on and on and on about all the different ones and what they meant to me, but honestly, you know, I've even I'd love some of talking to the older guys. Frank Shorter? Phil Liggett, couple of those older guys. I've really enjoyed and then I've really enjoyed some of the younger athletes that are just coming onto the scene, you know, Sam long, or a Gustav Eden triathletes, that a young and then enthusiastic and There's that and then everybody else in between and the entrepreneurs. It Baker, asking me this question, Dan eisenhart, from former swimming goggles. Just a brilliant man. I'm always honored and privileged When anybody says, yes, they'll come on. And, you know, I chat for to these conversations are well over an hour, often up to an hour and a half, and all of these people have just been so gracious. I can't tell you how much gratitude. I have four. People just being willing to have a conversation with me. It just never gets old. I look forward to every week and, you know, there's some weeks. I'm not sure who's going to turn up and it gets a bit stressful, but I've been so fortunate to have just so many. It's really difficult for me to pick a favorite episode of the Greg Bennett Show because I have genuinely loved every single one of them. The purpose of the show was to learn from the best and have conversations with remarkable people, and I've been incredibly fortunate to have had such special and unique guests on the show.

From athletes to coaches, entertainers to entrepreneurs, every episode has been amazing in its own way. I've enjoyed talking to both the older generation, like Frank Shorter and Phil Liggett, as well as the younger athletes who are just starting to make their mark, such as Sam Long and Gustav Eden. The range of guests has been incredible.

I could go on and on about each episode and what they meant to me. It's been an honor and a privilege to have these conversations that often last well over an hour, sometimes up to an hour and a half. Every guest has been gracious and willing to share their insights, and I'm filled with gratitude for their willingness to have a conversation with me.
