Between sponsorship and prize money, do pro triathletes make enough money? Well, I think the very, very best in the world do. I think they get looked after very well from endorsements. And I think the prize money is there. If you're winning and winning often, and you're making a strong six figure, if not, potentially, a seven figure career, if you're the very best in the world. So yes, I think the pro triathletes do make a good living, if they are towards the very top, the pointy end of the sport.

Do pro triathletes make enough money between sponsorship and prize money? In my opinion, the top-tier athletes in the world do. They receive significant support through endorsements and have access to substantial prize money. If you consistently win and establish yourself as one of the best, you can have a lucrative career, earning a strong six-figure or potentially even a seven-figure income. So, yes, I believe pro triathletes can make a good living if they are at the very top of the sport.

Who do you think are the triathletes to watch and who are you most excited about in 2022, across all distances?

Exciting Triathletes to Watch in 2022: Ryf, Gomez, Frodeno, and More!

Hey Syd, great question. I like that one. Well, I'm excited to watch you race. I'm going to see what you can do this year. I'm also excited to see Ashley gentle. She's a rising star, coming up into the middle to long-distance ranks. I want to see what Daniela ryf can do. One of the greatest we've ever seen. Do the sport. Can she hang on and keep pushing the way that she's been doing then? I think Emma plan Brown. I still think she's got enormous potential that we haven't seen her. Who deal yet? Who else have you Gomez? I'm looking forward to have you with a new coach with damp lose. I think that could be interesting interesting to see if the Norwegians can keep doing what they've been doing, because just extraordinary Canyon frodeno. Keep going with the Target on his back. That it seems to have been on his back for so long, a decade, but he keeps delivering, and can he keep performing the way you guys? I just love watching that man race, so many great athletes. To watch. I know I'm missing so many Vincent Lewis, you know, is one of my favorites. What can he do? Ben knut. I also think I think he still got room to improve and I hope he has a strong year this year. Yeah. That's a pretty good rap of quite a few there. I know I'm missing a load. Alistair Brownlee, Johnny Brownlee, Maryam Allah. I mean, the list goes on and on and on, just saw that Lucy Charles Barkley has a little bit of a setback in a hip, and I was really excited to watch her. Race early season, but I think that might even mean she's more powerful towards the end of the year. So watch out for Lucy Charles, but honestly, I'm such a fan of the sport. Daniela Ryf, one of the greatest triathletes, always impresses me with her performances. Emma Plan Brown has enormous potential that I believe we haven't fully seen yet. I'm curious to see how Javier Gomez performs with his new coach, Damp Lose, and if the Norwegians can continue their impressive streak. Canyon Frodeno, with a target on his back for a decade, never fails to deliver. Vincent Lewis and Ben Knut are also athletes I'll be keeping an eye on. Of course, there are many more incredible triathletes like Alistair Brownlee, Johnny Brownlee, and Mirinda Carfrae. Lucy Charles Barkley's setback may make her even more powerful later in the year. Expanding Horizons: Triathlete's Podcast Diversifies with Entrepreneurs and Entertainers

Are there any topics or guests that I would love to cover on the podcast in the future? Yeah. It's been a fairly heavily triathlon-centric focused podcast and I've loved that and I love the conversations with my longtime friends that I've known forever. I love being connected to the sport of triathlon. I truly do. And the show will always have that element about it. But I am looking forward to including more entrepreneurs, more business, more entertainers. And for me, that's more of a stretch. Now I have to do a lot more preparation. I have to... it's harder for me because it's going into areas that I'm not very knowledgeable about and I like that. It scares me just enough. So I think the more I can just have various kind of people that scare me a little bit, I really enjoy that side of things. So yes, in the future, as many of the great experts that we have on any question, I would love to have them on the show, whether that is in business or entertainment or other sports. Love to have them on. So look, I'm open to all ideas, but at the end of the day, it will still have an undertone of triathlon because that's in my blood. In the future, I would love to cover a wider range of topics and have diverse guests on the podcast. While the show has been primarily focused on triathlon, which I thoroughly enjoy, I am excited to include more discussions with entrepreneurs, business professionals, and entertainers. Venturing into these areas requires more preparation and pushes me out of my comfort zone, which I find both challenging and rewarding. I am particularly interested in inviting experts from various fields who can bring different perspectives and knowledge to the show. While I am open to all ideas, the podcast will always have an underlying theme of triathlon because it is a passion of mine. How have you used your platform as a former athlete to benefit your tech career?

Former athlete leverages discipline, dreaming big, and embracing imperfection in tech career

How have I used my platform as a former athlete to benefit my tech career? Well, honestly, to be successful in anything requires a tremendous amount of discipline, dedication, desire, but also having the ability to dream big. And that's something that I've really, as I build this platform, this Any Question platform, my ability to dream very, very big of where this is going to go. And I'm not scared of dreaming big, I think is one big thing that I've brought over. Secondly, the discipline and dedication. You know, I'm somebody that wakes up 4am no matter what weekend, weekday, it doesn't matter. And I start the day with an hour of work always right away before I go to the gym and work out. And so I believe having that discipline of after 30 years of turning up consistently every single day and training, I bring that over to my work in the tech space now to just keep on turning up. And finally, I think probably the area that I've noticed is understanding that done is better than perfect, that there's no such thing as perfect. And sometimes you just got to put your foot on the start line and race. And that's a bit like in the tech space where you have minimal viable products, MVPs, and you just got to keep them popping out every few weeks and keep improving the product over time. And every MVP is like doing a race and you get so much feedback from it. Cheers.

Using my platform as a former athlete has benefited my tech career in several ways. Firstly, it has allowed me to dream big and set ambitious goals for my platform. As an athlete, I learned the importance of having a vision and not being afraid to think on a grand scale.

Secondly, my athletic background has instilled in me a strong sense of discipline and dedication. I maintain a consistent routine, waking up at 4am every day to start my work before hitting the gym. This discipline translates into my work in the tech space, where I consistently show up and put in the effort required to succeed.

Lastly, being an athlete has taught me the value of taking action and embracing imperfection. I understand that waiting for perfection is futile, and sometimes you just have to start and learn along the way. In the tech industry, this mindset is crucial, as we often work with minimal viable products and continuously improve them based on feedback.

Overall, my experience as a former athlete has provided me with valuable qualities and perspectives that have positively influenced my tech career.
