What price ranges should I expect for a beginner surfboard?

Hey, so price ranges for beginner surfboards. It changes a lot depending on what country and so I live in South Africa, boards are really cheap. You can expect a brand new beginner surfboard for about what about $300. The thing is a beginner, beginner board and a pro board. They don't really change that much in price because bigger, beginner boards are bigger. So there's more foam or Glass. They cost the same amount as a really, well, refined. Well, worked on like, Pro board. Pretty much overseas for a beginner board, like a longboard. You're probably looking at between 500 and 700 dollars and then the pro boards are probably going for 6, 600 to 800 dollars, I would think in the states. So yeah. Base to probably get a second and board to start with work out. Exactly what. You wouldn't want to be doing with its short boarding or longboarding and or rent boards in the beginning. That's probably the best. And then, once you've worked out kind of exactly what you're looking for. Then spend the money on a new board.

So I actually pay for surfboards most of the top dog Pros. Do not pay for surfboards. They have deals with our they'll get like 20 or so shipped over to the destination. They're going to go surf. But yeah, my deal with my shaper, I really love working with them. I've been working with my guy, Dave, Van ginkel for a very long time, he gives me a really great discount on surfboards, but yeah, unfortunately I still have to pay. So if I break Keyboard, which does happen pretty often. I've got to pay for it unfortunately.

I don't pay for surfboards, but I do have to pay for them when they break. My shaper gives me a discount, but I still have to pay for the boards.

How do you know where to place your feet on the board?

Okay, so, knowing where to place one's feet on the board. I would recommend for people who are learning to get a grip pad so wherever you get a board from ask the surf, shop people to put a grip pad on the back of your board. So you would put the grip pad like maybe that much further forward than the leash plug and the grip pad has a kicker and that is a really good indication of where your back foot should be. Surfboard, if you serve with your feet in the wrong place on the board, it can feel horrible but then get your fees in feet in The Sweet Spot and the board comes alive. So you really want your feet to be about a meter apart kind of The Wider your stance, the more stable it's going to be and your back foot, you can try get against the kicker on the grip pad. So right at the back your front foot a meter forward, you standing side. So the Stringer Is running up and your feet are sideways on the Stringer and just a little quick side, note is when on the board remain crouched, the lower your center of gravity, the better, your stability is going to be. And when you're surfing, it feels like you are crowds. But if you see a video of yourself, you actually standing up very straight. So go more crouched than you think you are for extra stability, widen the stance and you'll be shredding in no time.

Get a grip pad and place it on the back of your board, with the kicker being where your back foot should be. Place your feet about a meter apart, with your back foot against the kicker and your front foot a meter forward. Remain in a crouched position for extra stability and you'll be ready to shred in no time.

Knowing where to place your feet on the board is important for a good surfing experience. If you're learning, I recommend getting a grip pad installed on the back of your board. Ask the surf shop to position the grip pad slightly forward from the leash plug, and it should have a kicker that indicates where your back foot should be.

For a proper stance, your feet should be about a meter apart. A wider stance provides more stability. Try placing your back foot against the kicker on the grip pad, right at the back of the board. Your front foot should be about a meter forward, with your body facing sideways along the stringer of the board.

Remember to stay crouched while on the board. Keeping a lower center of gravity improves stability. It may feel like you're crouched while surfing, but in reality, you might be standing up too straight. So, aim to be more crouched than you think for extra stability. With a wide stance and proper positioning, you'll be shredding the waves in no time.

Hey, what is a good thickness for surfboard? Well, a general rule. Is that when one is learning to serve, they're going to use a thicker surfboard because the thicker the board, the more volume it has and the more volume that aboard has the more stable it is and that's what do you want for someone who's learning to surf? Getting into surfing. So we probably looking for were like a longboard if you learning probably around three inches thick and more volume is more stability then as one progresses and They want their boards to be smaller so they can do more Maneuvers. You're going to go thin out. So my short boards are around two and a half inches thick, I weigh 80 kg and the it also the thickness depends a lot on your weight. So if you're a bigger person you need a thicker boards. You need more volume and you need more stability. If you lighter, obviously a thin, a board is good. Thickness also helps a lot with paddle power. That's also one of the reasons why when one is learning to surf, you want to be able to pass pedal fast enough to catch the waves. I think aboard will help a lot with with Pedal Power and catching the waves easier. Hope that helps
