Do you prefer a Zoom- or a Prime-Lense and why?

Zoom or prime lens? I would go with the prime lens every day. Every single day. There's something about the prime lenses. They're so much more cinematic, especially with say a 1.4 aperture. And I just love the bokeh and the quality that you get from the prime lenses, and the sharpness. So I actually only own primes and I will rent zooms when I need them for say documentary type projects, like runway events, and fashion photography events that are going to be super fast and I got to have that zoom. But otherwise, if I have full control of the production and the fashion shoot, I always choose primes. Some of my favorite primes are the 105 millimeter Nikkor, the 1.4. Gosh, I love the 200 f/2. Oh, such a great lens. And the 85, the 50, the 35. I have them all. So yeah, I definitely recommend the primes. And if you're just starting out in fashion photography, my go-to would probably be the 105 millimeter, if you could just choose one lens. So hope that helps. Peace out.

All right, let's see if we can't just age-old question zooms or primes. So if we look back into the DSLR or mirrored date the mirror days of Photography, zooms usually came with a quality hit. Enter, you know, the you had zooming, which was great, but your quality always drops. I'm now in the mirrorless and then Prime's are like, oh they're the best of the sharpest. Now, in the mirrorless days, I'll say that that argument still exists validly but the Gap is much smaller so your zooms are so great. Now the big penalty you pay, these days is zooms are going to be often heavier. Still then your Prime counterparts. So if you want something and often they have a slower speed, what slower means, they're going to have a small or maximum aperture meaning less maximum amount of light can come in. So it really comes down to situation. You know, you can get a prime that would be really tiny and that cannot be being like much more small or camera setup which might be more useful for times when you don't want to stand out as much. But then zooms are just very functional, especially actually invent and press photography and sports especially I personally like using both when I can just get away with crimes, I love it because using Prime's also helps force you into a creative box that forces you to really work with what you have or you know, the age-old adage is zoom with your feet, which really can help you immerse yourself in your photography and help aid your creativity. But at the same time sometimes there's no beat, there's no beating as zoom and that's why I love to tell you that these days there is no sir nothing. Wrong with using zoomed in the mirrorless error. Again, I know that doesn't help much but it is all about the situation and that is how all decisions are made when it comes to equipment.

To preserve Zoom or prime lens might as well. Answer a few questions while I'm walking the dog. Over the years for me, I started off with zoom lenses but I found myself being pretty lazy so I like the prime lenses or because it makes me think of positioning shoot and move shoot and move, kind of style and combine. This is pretty technical. They're probably a touch sharper than the The zooms. But yeah, that would be splitting hairs. So yeah, prime lenses for me. Cheers.

The question is, do you prefer a zoom or a prime lens? And why? Well these days the the sharpness in the file quality between a high quality zoom and a high quality fixed focal length is indistinguishable. They're the same technology is caught up and those qualities are indistinguishable between zooms and fixed focal length lenses. The difference is the flexibility, my basic kids just three lenses and I go from 14 to 403 lens. Has 14 to 30 24 to 120 and 102 for hundred. Mm. 14 to 400. That's quite a range in three lenses. That's why I prefer zooms to fix focal length lenses.

Do I prefer a resume or a prime lens? And why personally me I'm a prime girl, I have the 50, the 85, the 135 and the 400, which is my absolute favorite. I've 135. I mean all of them. So if you left me alone to do my own thing and say like, oh, go get the best Vibes or will get the best whatever. I would probably always pick the prime lenses, but shooting events. Like, for example the swim league or like an event where I can just even where I can walk around or Olympic Games. You need, you need to be able to capture everything from where you are sometimes and you're limited. So I would I use both and I use a lot of zoom lenses. They're like my favorite one for sure is the 7200. And I also use the 2470 and also some wide Zoom for like, opening ceremonies and things like that, but my heart will always be with the prime lenses and especially the wide aperture, like the little The Wider, the better, I just love Bo. Okey. I think like all photographers I mean we're crazy about just like making that in the nicest blurry, backgrounds in in Turkish and French. We called flu and I love it. I love the flu photos in the back. Yeah so Zoom has its place a lot for events but my heart is with the Primes.

I really like zoom lenses for the shorter lenses like walking around lifestyle portrait stuff just because I have a little bit of flexibility there and then I really like prime lenses for the long lens action stuff like there's no way I'm using any kind of zoom lens for shooting way out into the ocean surf photography. I use the 600 millimeter f4 Nikon lens and there's zero chance I would use some funky zoom thing to shoot really sharp action photos far away but yeah those little those killer like you know the nice zoom lenses like the 2.8 you know 24 to 70 kind of zoom lenses I really like for walking around with that around my shoulder all day.
