Can you show one of your photos? That's worth a thousand words and explain why you chose it? Yes, but let me do a little disclaimer first, I don't know that any image is worth a thousand words. However, I do have an image that I love for a number of different reasons. Number one, the way it layered out each layer, foreground mid-ground. And background subject AIDS in telling the story of the shop. This is a Muay Thai fight at Pala Casino in Southern California from years ago, and it's a type of photography. FEI don't do very often anymore, fight sports but I have been in martial arts for years and years couple of decades. And so I knew the promoter of this fight and one of the competitors in this fight also trained at the dojo that I trained at. So, I had access to this and I love the way the layers in this image, came out to help tell the story. Let's start in the foreground, first of all, the person that you see the back of looks much larger than the other fighter because they're closer to you, also, he Was a little bit bigger than the other fighter but he is standing in the corner, being counted down that other fighter, that's in the distance, knocked him down. So the referees fingers are up in front of his face doing a countdown. Then, when you move to the middle, you see David Pacheco. David is pacing. His feet are separated. His hands are separated. His hands are not at his side, and he looks so much smaller than the big guy, but he's pacing and has a demeanor of come. On let's going. I can't wait for this to continue. Then when you move to the background subject it's outside the ring behind David his to Corner people. Joey Paul you. So and Brian runs and they're both watching the countdown hoping that the ref is going to call the fight their hands together. Like they're praying and there's little things in this shot that I loved as well. For example, the large fighter in front is separated from David who is separated from, From the corner people, the two people in front, their heads are mostly in a clean spot between the flag and the LA of Paula Casino. You can see a little bit of the p and the a coming out of the fighters head, nothing I can do about that but this is one of my favorite shots. Thanks for the question.

Can you show on your photos? That's worth a thousand words. Well, I don't know how many words this is worth, but I've always loved the quote, a photograph asks, more questions than it answers. And I took this Photograph years ago right after ceremony, right after the kiss that walked out, the back of the church, they grab some flowers and in the back of the church was a graveyard and I was circling to try to find the best angle because I really didn't know where they were going to win. It up they wound up at this grave site and it's all about this gentleman who is paying respects to his grandparents who raised him. And I've been asked many many questions over the years about this Photograph and I would have to say it was worth a thousand answers.

Cheers for the question, what photo can speak a thousand words? But what skills, beyond the camera could I Implement into my work? So I could have more than a moment in time. I didn't have to explore far in the end, the solution was taking 25 years of ocean experience and implementing it into my photographic work. I was not Reinventing the wheel. I just took a leaf out of professional big-wave Surfers and how they were pushing their boundaries in ways that consequences. Breath, hold training, ocean awareness, knowing my limitations and when to push them, safety gear preparation. NOW, essential tools of my for photographic work. The back story to my image is slowly started to change over time and I began to feel like I was having my own so-called Mount. I what I like to call mountain-climbing moments challenging adversity, Etc, before hitting the trigger and that final product of time, a photo. So looking back. On this image I can see what went into it, all the hard work and dedication and you know in the end some people think it's just a shot. But swimming into the Impact Zone, at the right shooting fish. I was just a incredible moment for me that took over two years to capture a. No, I'm stoked with this one.

I gotta be honest with you, I'm not sure how to answer your question. I picked a photograph because it's what I've recently taken that people like is it worth a thousand words? I don't know. I don't have that answer. Does it reach out and grab people's imagination. It does why for one reason? Perhaps, because it's an uncommon, look at something common and right off the bat that makes a difference. You've got the cold and warm tones could be all of the above

Right, so this is a shot from Mad Max Fury Road, and I don't share this very often. I don't know why, because I actually really love it, and it was such a difficult shot to take, because we were filming, obviously, and I'm in the back of the war rig in the Volkswagen part, shooting out through the window, and it was rather precarious with all the explosions and everything going off. And you know, I'm harnessed in, so I'm safe, that sort of stuff, but you know, you're bumping around and your camera's getting tossed all over the place, and then you can't see because of the smoke, and also because of the bumping, so you know, this is a full-frame photograph, so to actually pull it off is, it's not remarkable, but I'm sure anyone could probably do it, but it's just about getting the access to be there in yourself. A lot of photographers, I think, would look at it from the ground and try and photograph it there, but you know, you've got to bring an image to life, and if you're not actually living it, then your image is not going to live it either. So you know, I like to put myself right in the middle of things. I think that gives you a better perspective of the action and tells a better story, and you know, this one here, you know, it's all going on really, isn't it? We've got the war boy, the explosion going on in front of him, and you know, I'm a little bit, not speechless, but I'm a little bit stuttering because I'm remembering the day, and it was a really cool day, actually, and I've got a few sweet shots from this actual day, but if you want to have a look at more of my stuff, go to either my YouTube channel or Instagram, and you can see everything there, and ask me more questions. This is a photo that is worth a thousand words. But you know, a lot of words and I took this last Sunday in Indianapolis at the fina World Cup finals or the final stop of the fina World Cup. And this is B the Nelson and she's just getting out of the water after winning the 200 IM and betta had had Phenomenal World Cup Series this year, and after this race, she was the overall World Cup champion. So, to my mind, there's a lot of emotion here. She's getting ready to come across deck. And I'm not exactly sure who that is in the foreground, but soon after this, they give a great Embrace and just the energy. And the joy that was on On witness then was it was palatable and so happy for beat a really neat. Super interesting Dynamic person I've worked with her on a few occasions and it was just exciting to see her win this championship. And so to my mind, this photo really tells the story.
