Worst purchases. I've always made been in speedlights. I feel like they're extremely expensive and I never end up using them. They end up sitting in my camera bag, and by the time I think about selling them, it's not. We're selling them anymore, and then they send up in the closet. So, yeah, there's usually my worst purchases

Oh man. So much. But yeah, you should see my basement. It is a film camera and digital camera. Absolute graveyard packed into Pelican cases. It's actually not that bad. And I've kept a bunch of the film cameras I've had from when I was younger. So as far as purchasing and then regretting, with hindsight would be some of the, like, huge massive pelican cases. I have a million years ago. Used to be able to travel every are Mine was 70 pounds for your bags and then scaled it back to 50 pounds. So those monster pelican cases that way, you know, 20 plus pounds. Just for the case your way over. There's no way you're coming in under 50 pounds with this thing. So some of those have never left the house and you know 10 15 years. I've been taking them on the road with me. Yeah. Couple cameras and stuff and lenses but I'll try and cut bait pretty fast on that stuff. You know, some of the smaller things if I get something that I'm not into, I try and sell it pretty quick on eBay. Yeah, I don't, I don't really love to let stuff sit around that kind of goes for everything like small pieces, big pieces, whatever if I'm not into it and it's not working out for the my job than I'm getting rid of it. And I recommend that for everyone just it's not working out, cut bait quick, don't let it devalue too much and you know, send that thing packing on eBay.

Interesting question. I can see why you might be coming from among the gear that you've purchased. Is it something you wish you hadn't in hindsight? Definitely, I can say, that's not been the case for decades in the beginning. Yeah, I'm sure there was at this point, though. It's been so long. I could say, I probably have forgotten what it was. You know, the, the one thing I've always done since the very beginning is that when I went to go buy something new, Most of the time, but I don't know any about it. I go rent it first. I try it. I give it a hard week or ten days of really, you know, does it work for me before I actually lay down any Dead? Presidents to own that and I still do that. I will have good fortune with number friends, you have gear, or I go to a rental house and I can Professional Services. I get a loan of the gear and I check it out because working capital is hard to come by with that rule of thumb, for every dollar you want. Spend you got to earn five. I take every purchase very serious. So yeah there's not a specific piece that comes to mind. That is a direct answer your question. So sorry

I give about purchased something. I wish I hadn't in some hindsight Tom, look, not really. Most of the gear that I have, you know, I at least give it a go and see and see how if it's going to be beneficial to what I do. I would say there's probably one or two lenses that don't that I have but don't get used much but I pretty much use everything I can. I'm kind of known more for location work than anything. I do really. In studio. So, you know, I have a fairly small amount of grip gear that just lets me work with the light that's available. So yeah, that would hopefully answer that. That pretty much, you know, most of the gear I have, I do work with

I wish I hadn't purchased a Red monstro. Or even a red helium. Quite frankly like AK is fully Overkill and unless you are getting commercial job to commercial job and renting out the camera, it's it's it's just Overkill and you know you're losing out on your value. The cameras losing value every time you take it out you know turn it on, you've been a water housing, you put in salt water, you know, Getting damaged and losing value. The sensor is getting dirty, everything we need to get maintained. And so most of the time, you know, unless you have those really high end clients constantly and flowing you can really do without it and there's other Solutions out there, there's tons of other cameras. I'm not saying I love my red camera to death. I you know, I wouldn't change it for the world but that being said, like looking from business side of it. There's definitely other camera bodies out there that are equally as good and, you know, get the job done and fit. a lot more clients budgets if you're not trying to that high-end motion guy or yeah, I mean What's the other thing? There's got to be something else. I probably wish I didn't buy. I don't know, like there's there's not too many things. There's yeah, I've been pretty fortunate in that respect.

Among the gear that I've purchased, is there something you wish you hadn't in hindsight? No, I probably use everything at some stage. I did get a cool fish eye a long time because I love the artistic sort of dimensions that it throws. I probably use it the least, but I still like having it. But probably for what I paid for it's my least used bit of equipment.
