One is gender and the other one is sex. Gender is a human concept. Sex is not. Sex is male or female. So basically when a dog trainer is saying a boy or a girl, he's referring to the sex of the dog and not the gender. As for the dogs also have a gender and you know it's very different nowadays in people in the way that we see the different genders. Is it also true for dogs? We don't know. We can't ask them if they identify as male, female, transgender or whatever. You understand what I'm saying. So basically we're left with just the biological sex of boy or girl. you

I think that the most common misconception by far is that dogs are aggressive because they are inherently aggressive and just want to hurt someone. Kind of like being a bully or something like that. But the sad truth is that actually most of those aggressive dogs, and you know what, maybe bullies as well, but most of those aggressive dogs are aggressive because they are anxious or because they're fearful and they're just trying to keep whatever scares them away from them. I address the misconception by actually showing the owners the real reason after collecting all the data that I need. I show them that the dog is fearful and then how to treat the dog to make him less fearful and happier.

So you first need to have a specific diagnosis like is it fear aggression? Is it territorial aggression or something else? Also, there are no best alternatives because it's different for every dog and also Prozac is not the same as Trazodone and Gabapentin which are short-acting medications and not daily medications like Prozac, but there are Clonidine, there's benzodiazepines, maybe not as good in aggressive dogs. There's Flumipramine, Acetalpram and many many many more different medications that can be used in dogs. Thanks

Don't take them too hard or anything like that because if you do then it might prevent you from trying again when you're failing or it might prevent you from trying something else when you know this thing isn't working for you because it's not a bad thing to change what you think, it's not a bad thing to change your plans. So as long as you don't take things too hard then it's a lot easier to go through life with joy.

Do you think predatory drift is a made-up term by Ian Dunbar? All terms are made up by someone, so in this case, yes, predatory drift was termed by Ian Dunbar as far as I know. If you're asking if predatory drift is a real thing, then we at the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists, we tend not to use this term as far as I know. I mean, I never heard any specialist use that term. The term itself is supposed to explain aggression because of this instinct of aggression or instinct of predation in a dog, but as far as we know, it's probably not accurate and usually there are other things that will explain a dog's aggression.
