Are there clean ingredients that are not caffeine or stimulants that can boost energy naturally?

To boost energy naturally, look for supplements that contain ingredients like D-ribose or RiaGev, which help to protect and multiply mitochondria, resulting in increased production of ATP.

Transcript: "Josh, you want to know, are there clean ingredients that are not caffeine or stimulants that can boost energy naturally? Here's why I love this question. True clean energy starts at the level of the mitochondria. These are tiny organelles found within the trillions of cells in your body that manufacture the currency of energy called ATP. And as athletes we all desire more of that, as the average individual we want more of that. How do we get more of that? You're going to hear a lot more of these AMPK boosting supplements on the market. AMPK stands for adenosine monophosphate kinase. And you don't have to worry about that, but basically what it is, is protecting and multiplying mitochondria so that you get more ATP downstream. And so you want to look for ingredients known as D-ribose, or RiaGev, and this comes in powder form. Really cool specialized type of ingredient to boost AMPK, to increase the mitochondrial output, and the divine equivalent of that currency of energy ATP."

Hey Josh, the question was are there clean ingredients that are not caffeine or stimulants that can Boost energy naturally? There are, but I don't think it's the way to go. I'll answer your question. First ginseng has been used for that. Maca has been used for that, and I'll show Ganda is, he's pretty good for that, but I wouldn't do that first. And here's why, almost every time somebody doesn't have energy. It's because there is something else going wrong. Most likely they're not sleeping. Well and are used to have a. I had a professor in graduate school, who used to say when you have a, when you hear hoofbeats outside your window. Don't start by looking for zebras. Look for the obvious cause there's hook beats. It's probably horses. And if you're fatigued and your energy isn't what you think, it should be. And you're kind of dragging during the day. I'm going to 99. 9%, tell you that, if you can go back and correct, your sleep, that's going to go away. You can still use ashwagandha. It's wonderful marker. There. You can experiment with all of those things, but energy is like water. You cannot grab water with your hands and you cannot get energy from other things, but what you can do with Waters, you can create in your palms and environment where water can live you can cup your palms and you can actually hold some water in there. Not very long and not very effectively, but you can do it and just go with me on the metaphor. It's the best I could come up with. But the point is, you want to create that pom. You want to create that open space for energy in your life. And you do that, not by taking other stuff, but really by correcting sleep and managing stress because those are your energy drainers. I hope that helps

This is a great question, actually. There's a lot of really good supplements that can that can increase energy levels without without stimulants. So caffeine is a, stimulant, you know, coffee extract and green tea extract. Sometimes we're using stimulants, I'm going out for a long bike ride right now. You can see, I'm already in my kit and as I roll out, I use something that you maybe have never heard of before, like, what, you know, we talk sometimes about cordyceps mushroom, rhodiola, Roots, can be used for endurance and a non-stimulant. Sometimes we use asked astaxanthin sometimes, coenzyme, Q10, sometimes, black, cumin seed. Oil can be very effective for endurance, but one maybe you've never heard of before his palm fruit extract, specifically a type called palm fruit, bioactives complex. It's a palm fruit. Usually thought of as an oil you can get vitamin E out of it. You can get carotenoid ring. It took a triangles, these fat soluble nutrients, but in the water soluble component, you can get these compounds called shikimic acid. Derivatives that we've been able to show in our laboratory that they help with physical performance. So they help with mental performance, they help with dopamine, production, they help with bdnf, brain-derived neurotrophic Factor production and that can help with mental energy in the brain. But they also help with physical energy, what I would call endurance or stamina. And so in a non-stimulant way you can keep going we've been able to show that you can put out more power on the bike and you can run faster on the treadmill. So rating, a perceived exertion go down so that the so that the Sighs feels easier yet, at the same time, you're doing more work. So it's a really, really cool thing for endurance athletes or for athletes in general, or for anybody who wants to have more energy and a long-lasting sustained non-stimulant way. So, palm fruit bioactives. See if you can find them around somewhere.

Hey Josh, I wish there was a clean ingredient. That's not caffeine or stimulant that Boost energy. Naturally. I think sleep is the core we've heard other experts, talk about this. If you're regularly exhausted, you need to find the root cause so I focus on the amount of restorative sleep that I get every evening. So I take an ingredient called l-theanine. It's a non-essential amino acid. Your body knows exactly what to do with it naturally occurs in green tea, you can find it in the form of something as the Intel inside. Brilliant and hundreds, and hundreds of products around the world. I take 150 mg 30 minutes before bed. And I know that it increases my amount of deep restorative sleep, which actually addresses my energy issue the next day. Then, I take ashwagandha is part of my daily. So I believe that provides some energy and the midday if I find myself going into a midday slump. I know it's something I did and it's usually I'm just short cutting on the diet, you know, not not getting the Exercise, I need things like that are I know personally in tribute to that energy slump, but I don't think caffeine's my answer just like you, so good luck with everything.

Hey Josh. Great question. Are there clean ingredients that do not contain caffeine or stimulants that can Boost energy naturally? Well in true sport dietitian nature. I'm going to take a stab at this one. So if you just look at energy as itself, that's the production of ATP adenosine, triphosphate in the mitochondria. So how do we gain ATP or energy and that's to the food that we eat? So the first and foremost is to make sure that you are consuming enough carbohydrate protein and fat that's kind of the key thing. And I know that's what you were. Asking because you're asking about ingredients, but I did want to just circle back to that and just mention that. So in terms of ingredients that are not really stimulants or caffeine, you know, I think there are few of them out there that have been tried. I don't know about shrewd, but definitely tried. So we've got ashwagandha for sure. I think Beet Root Beer powder. Beetroot juice can certainly kind of act as an energy production not production but maybe give a little bit more energy through vasodilation the nitric oxide pathway in the body but those are a couple ones but like I said Keep focused on energy intake, through food, carbs, protein, and fat because that through metabolism will provide your body production with more ATP.
