What is the most prestigious honor/award one can receive in your industry?

Awards and honors in the spirits industry are often unreliable and profit-driven. The biggest honor is when people talk positively about you and when you have longevity and success in your role.

Transcript: "No one in the spirits industry is going to like my answer to this question. Most of these Awards or honors are absolute bullshit. Most of them are created by organizations that are for profit and so it has a profit-driven motive behind them. A lot of the, the awards inside of the the drinks and the liquor in the hospitality industry are sort of like, you know, in club Of wards like a. These are the people that I know than that I like. And so I'm going to vote for them. So most of it's actually horseshit. Here's the award where the honor. It's when people talk about you, well, behind your back, that's the biggest honor that you can have when you get respect from people because it's respect and not just liking. So what's most prestigious honor award one can receive in your industry? Well, there are a ton of them and many of them are pay-for-play. Don't mean a whole lot to me in general, even the ones that are backed by blind. Tastings Etc. I mean, listen guys, if you're going to taste through 90 Spirit someday, even if you are going to spit those Spirits out, I don't necessarily trust your palate and that's not to say that we haven't won a lot of awards, including some prestigious ones. But my answer this question is much more so that the most prestigious / honor or award. One can receive in my industry. As far as I'm concerned, is the praise of my peers, fellow distillers, who taste my product and say, man, how in the hell did you make this? How did you come up with this? What was the idea behind this was the technique behind this, right? Or consumer saying, I bought that bottle and because I bought that bottle. I will buy everything else you ever put on the Shelf? I'll take that over top of. Any taste blind tasting group tasting, any award out there, no matter how fancy the metal or the trophy, I'll get me wrong when I want to met a lot of oftentimes threatened to play the Kurt Angle theme song, while I run around the Distillery to his entrance. So that's what I got for you.

What is the most prestigious? Honor / award. One can receive in your industry. I think this is kind of a complicated answer to what is a relatively straightforward question. There are a lot of incredible Spirit awards that are internationally. Renowned the biggest one is probably the San Francisco World Spirits competition. That happens every year. There's also the international Wine and Spirits competition, the world whiskey Awards. All of these are really great places. Where there's blind tasting for judging and they're pretty respected organizations. Now that said tasting, whiskey is a really subjective thing, right? Everybody's nose in everybody's pallets are different and not, every whiskey is for every person. So, I would say that, even though these are really highly regarded competitions, you know, winning awards from these places are great thing for your brand, a great thing for your company, but I don't necessarily know that it's the best barometer on You know, how well you're doing. I think that there are awards that are handed out within sort of, more of the, the trade in trade Industries or companies like the American craft Spirit Association or the American distilling Institute. But I really think for me it would be the regular everyday consumer. If more people than not recognize something that you made is something that's high quality and bring something new to the table. That would be the biggest recognition I could get out there. Although awards are great. We hope we win some
