Should I use lemon, concentrate or real lemon for mixing drinks?

If you can, try to use fresh citrus juice for your cocktails as it will give you the best quality drink. If that is not an option, then lemon concentrate or mix is a good alternative.

Transcript: "Should I use lemon concentrate or real lemon for mixing drinks? You know, I want cocktail creation to be accessible. So, part of that I think is about using. What is most accessible to you and what you have on hand. If that means, it's lemon mix or concentrate or real lemons. That is what it is. But as somebody who does bartend for a living, I have to say, there is nothing that beats from Fresh Citrus juice. If you can juice your lemons, or limes, whatever, you're using for your cocktails. If you can juice those fresh to order or per drink, that is going to give you the best quality cocktail that you can possibly make."

Should I use lemon concentrate or real lemon for mixing drinks? This is good opportunity to go to the fridge. All right, so let's grab a couple things from in here. So up first, I have this organic ginger juice and even as organic, this includes a citric acid which is essentially a stabilizer in a preservative so that this will have a longer shelf life and as an expensive item, will be able to be sold longer. Next up, we'll grab the key lime juice from concentrate. This has something called sodium benzoate or benzoate as which is a preservative in it. And in short, this is going to impact an artificial taste to your cocktail. If you want a good alternative, fresh-squeezed your lemons or limes and add just a little bit of vodka to it. The same way that you would do simple syrup and it'll hold the shelf life a lot longer and not change the balance of your cocktail.
