Dr. Catharina Armstrong is Associate Director of Newton-Wellesley Hospital Substance Use Services. She graduated from University College Dublin School of Medicine, completed Internal Medicine residency at Mass General Hospital, and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She holds a Master's in Public Health from Harvard Medical School and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Addiction Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and a consultant at Framingham Womenโs prison. Her research focuses on prevention and management strategies for addiction and substance use disorders. She serves on the CME Committee for ASAM and the Board of Directors for the Boston Bulldogs Running Club.
