Yeah, definitely think that maintaining positive relationships with partner agencies and also stakeholders is so important. And I think a lot of times we get in our own ways of thinking that, you know, we have more calls or we're a bigger agency, but at the end of the day, we all do the same job and we all have different Specialties. We all have different equipment. We have different budgets but our main goal in our main mission is to help the community. Tea and make sure that every single man and woman firefighter comes home at the end of shift. And so when you try to build that relationship that positive relationship, make sure you're coming from a place that you understand that we are all doing this together and doing it for the same reason and continue to progress that in a positive manner.

This is a great question. How do you build and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies and other stakeholders? Why can tell you in 26 years as a special agent with ATF a vast majority of every investigation we did was in coordination and cooperation with our state and local or other Federal counterparts, it was all about getting the job done. Whether it was working with DEA on a Narcotics A gun case or with the Detroit, police, or Chicago, Police or Suburban Department, it was all about, we had the same goal in mind, getting those violent individuals off of the streets. So, they weren't a havoc in that local community. So, it's all about having that overall mindset about. It doesn't matter who gets the credit, or who's listed in the press release. It's all about getting the job done and making sure we're Information. We're collaborating that open communication and dialogue because every law enforcement officer has been their heart. If they want to reduce violence and get these bad individuals off the street before they hurt. Somebody again and the local officer doesn't care who gets the credit for it. They want to make sure they're doing their job and their most importantly going home, safe each night. So it's all about About sitting down and having, not only the upper echelon the management talking, but the street officers and agents. That's where the real work gets done. And talk about how they're going to work this case, and how they're going to make the community safer. And then letting the actual communities know this is what we're out here doing. And this is why we're doing it because we want to make all those neighborhoods safe for everybody.

How do you build and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies and other stakeholders? There are many, many ways that you can do that, but I think I'm gonna talk specifically about one way, and that is taking the first step. I've noticed over the years that when we work with partner agencies, private EMS companies, police forces, public works, et cetera, et cetera, something may happen, somebody maybe says something on scene or on a call, or we kind of have this idea of how they act or how they train or what their culture is, and we take it back to the firehouse and we complain a little bit about it. Well, those cops don't know because you could tell on such and such a call they did this or they did that or they don't know what they're talking about. And they're probably doing the very same thing. So I think the first step is start the relationship, reach out, have them over for coffee, dinner, show up not on a call, do something as simple as showing up with coffee and bagels and say, thanks for being out there on the streets with us. Shake some hands, introduce yourself on the nothing calls, on the mundane calls. I think starting the relationship is the best way to build one, reach out.
