So the question is, what is the reason you got into emergency services? Not unlike most first responders, it's a commitment to serve. I contemplated going into the military back in the early 90s and this law enforcement mission of protecting and serving and taking care of the community and others, developing bonds within the team and the unit. It was all very appealing. Ultimately I think we all just want to leave this place better than when we found it. Provide a safe environment for our families and our friends so that we can all thrive and live in peace.

The question is what advice do you have for someone just starting out in bodybuilding? I did my first competition at age 40 and it was my last. My first and my last. Southern states down in Florida. The thing that is awesome about bodybuilding is also the thing that I think is a cause for concern. It's an extreme and with an extreme you tend not to have balance and as we know the key to a beautiful life and a healthy life is balance. So as amazing of a sport as it is there is a tendency man to do things to the excess. Getting involved in steroids and and ridiculous diet regiments. So try to conduct that sport with a sense of balance and sustainability. I hope that helped.

Without pointing to a specific incident or case, I think there's some basic steps that we all take to be successful in resolving incidents and situations that we find ourselves in. First and foremost, I think it's our ability initially to detach and take a step back and scan and breathe and figure out what do we actually need to do next. By detaching, by taking a moment and actually taking a physical step back, I think it allows us to see the bigger picture and maybe some options that weren't immediately available to us when we stay laser focused in the moment. Okay, so the question is if you had to teach a course about any specific topic, what would it be? When I was in motors, it would have been motor operation. When I was in canine, it would have been canine operation. And now that I'm retired, looking back, I would teach a course in self-care. You taking care of you and how you do that, so you live a beautiful, fulfilled, wonderful life. So one course they don't teach you in the academy is how you take care of you. And that's actually what I'm doing now in retirement. Put a program on that addresses the personal, professional, financial, physical, and mental health of you. How about that?
