Sgt. Chris Scallon is a 24+ year veteran of the Norfolk Police Dept., a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a former line officer in the Port Washington, NY Fire Dept. He holds a Masters in Psychology and a BS in Criminal Justice, and is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. He is the Founder of Survival Mindset Training and Consulting, and was the founder and first Director of the Norfolk Police Dept.'s CISM & Peer Support Unit. He is a board member of VALEAP, a certified peer with the West Coast Post Trauma Retreat, a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and a Master Trainer for Homefront Protective Group. He is an approved instructor for ICISF and a Training and Technical Assistance Consultant for OVC TTAC. He has received numerous awards, including the National Top Cop award, Virginia's Public Safety Medal of Valor, and the Norfolk Police Dept.'s Medal of Honor.
