Aimee Russo has served with the Broward Sheriff's Office for 21 years. She began as a Warrants Technician and Crime Analyst, then served on road patrol for the Tamarac District and with the Counter Terrorism Unit in the Strategic Investigations Division. She was appointed to the Special Events Unit and was responsible for major events security. She has served as a Lieutenant in Deerfield Beach, Executive Officer in Cooper City, Captain in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Civil Division, and Major in Patrol Operations, North Region. She has a Master's in Criminal Justice from FIU, Bachelor's from FAU, and is a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute, BSO Supervisor's Leadership Academy, BSO’s Executive Leadership Academy, and Broward College Law Enforcement Academy.
