Where is a good place to sell? Older photography equipment online. Well, of course, Facebook Marketplace has grown in popularity and I've sold some old pieces on there, but nine times out of ten. I will. When I when I upgrade my gear to the latest and greatest, I will usually send my gear over to Sammy's and they will refurbish it and clean it up and get it back on the market to somebody else, who's ready? To give it new life, I That if you are buying used gear using a an organ or a company like Sammy's or be in a Torquay eh at least you'll know it has been looked over and you know that it's functioning and has been sort of graded in a way but for me that's why I tend to sell to companies like Sammy's so that I know that it's getting looked over getting cleaned up and going into good hands.

So people often want to know when they're upgrading gear and they want to go to the latest and greatest what happens with their existing gear. So, there's a point in time, we really need to be able to part with the, which is really hard if you're emotionally connected with it. So, I would say being a chore KEH, both are really good as far as getting gear selling gear and being very Professional companies. So I would say I would work with either of those two companies. If you're working with B and H, they will apply maybe your use gear towards New Gear. So that is also very helpful. But I've worked with both cough, both companies, they're absolutely great. You could also consider local camera companies. So you have a local camera store, you may be able to bring your existing gear into that camera store and have them sell it for you. So that's another way that you can do. It.

Where's a good place to sell older photography equipment online. Well, I'll be brief, there's basically two major venues in this country that we use. That's B and H in New York and KEH in Atlanta and also for new gear. But huge used equipment dealers, you know. But bear in mind that you want to help your local camera store if you can. And the local one that I use in Virginia it's called Ace photo and I deal with them first as far as swapping out the old gear for newt. Gear or selling stuff through them and if I can't get what I want or if they can't deal with what I have, then I'll move up to being H orc. Aah, take care of my business. But I tend to work locally, first, that's just me.

Where is a good place to sell older photography equipment online. Boy, right now with mirrorless there is a glut of gear. So great place, good place to be harder to do you got to also look at the time, a versus the return. So personally, if I can't sell it quickly through my own website and social media stream, I sell it to k h, just be done with it because the time they could take the cell, that gear is time that I rather be spending behind the camera.

Righty, where's a good place to sell older photography equipment online? You know, now all I do is marketplace. You got to be so careful. There is, there's so many dodgy people out there. eBay, unfortunately, and marketplace, you'll get people offering you more money, which I don't understand why. And not knowing that it's a scam, then you know, they'll be in your area. And it's like, oh, but can you post it to my daughter who lives in the US? And then nine times out of 10, you'll ask them, where in the US is it? It's New York. And then you look up the address. It's a warehouse. That's a middle person. And what happens is they, they will you ship the stuff to the warehouse and the day it gets there, they ship it out and it can't be traced. So you got to be careful of that scam. Look up the address. If someone's offering you more money, it's a scam. If they're offering you more money to ship it, it's a scam. Marketplace meet a person outside your house. Don't let them come in or go to them. And or you take a bank transfer first and they have to trust you. But yeah, Facebook marketplace, that's about the only place that I bother with now. I know there's some really great camera stores that do it. And don't let me put you off going there because they do a good deal. Okay, cheese.

And I would say social media, I always see on Instagram, some of my friends selling their their equipment and also Facebook Marketplace. I think it's a good place you know to sell and buy used stuff. Another one would be eBay and I guess groups you know like photography groups and there's always someone like someone else that knows someone that needs what you're selling. So I think for me those three are pretty good start.
