What is my opinion on Thunder Vests to calm anxiety in dogs? I think these are great. I don't really see a downside. We don't have a ton of evidence to support that they work, but there is evidence that, you know, holding your dog tightly and that feeling of being, you know, comforted by this tight-fitting vest can be helpful. And so, if it works for your dog, great, use it. If it doesn't, you know, you might need to try something else. You know, it's the same idea babies, my baby right here with me that I'm holding, like to feel that tight, you know, swaddle, that tight being held. And so, it's the same in dogs. So, definitely try it if it works.

What's your opinion on thunder vests? Calm anxiety in dogs. I'm not against them, but they probably don't work the same for every single dog. I have a dog that I use it on. I mean, one of my, uh, own dogs, I use it on when there's a storm and it seems to be working while it's not working on many other dogs. The idea behind this product behind the thunder vest is that it kind of puts some squeeze some pressure, light, pressure on the dog and it calms him down if you want to understand why you should probably go and see the movie on Temple Grandin. And if you had Children babies, you know that it also works on human babies and not just animals.

What's your opinion on Thunder Vest to calm anxiety in dogs? Well they can actually work really well in dogs but it's pet by pet dependent. So some pets really get a lot of comfort from a tight-fitting vest or shirt. It can be very soothing whereas others need more of a chemical intervention meaning anti-anxiety medications. So if the Thunder Vest is not working then you might want to talk to your regular family veterinarian about getting a prescription for an anti-anxiety medication such as Trazodone and then that's a medication that you don't necessarily want to give right when a thunderstorm or fireworks start. You want to give it an hour or two in advance. That way they can really settle down prior to that event happening. A lot of folks also use those medications before taking their pet to the veterinarian or the groomer or even just going on a longer car ride. It can be very effective for that but in terms of the Thunder Vest there's really no downside to trying it. It's a very benign thing to do. In some it will work and in others it won't.
