What do marathoners think of barefoot runners?

Why do marathon think of barefoot Runners, you know? H is for someone, I'm very happy content with my Skechers shoes but I see people run marathon and half marathon on pavement and I can get a little green tea because I just felt that hurts and bad at the same time. If you want to do running on pavement for half marathon a marathon, I would recommend it but shorter races you can because I've ever Kayla. Who won the Olympics with therefore, he grew up with that and he did not have shoes and then go back to Barefoot. So figure out what shoes and got it and go back to barefoot running. I wouldn't recommend it, but I have done barefoot running on the grass and strides when I was in college and also other professional. So to just to strengthen the Arches and the plantar fascia and not build up calluses, okay to do on soft grass, some running, but I would not recommend it for full Marathon so, but if that's your style, I'll go at it.

So I think barefoot running should be part of all athlete distance, running training. For some of the stuff they do. If you have stronger muscles in your feet, you're going to stay healthier and be more powerful with your, with your feet would coming off the ground. And that's huge to your success as an athlete. I think, you know, people that go barefoot a lot longer in their childhood developed, Longer tip muscles and and their tendons and stuff is more prepared for for a harder training. With that said, I think some of the problems arise when people go from just wearing shoes all the time to try to go to Barefoot all the time. You see this in the spring, people get plantar, fasciitis, they come in to running stores. I've worked at a lot of them, they just go from boots to sandals, and it's too drastic of a change. So, whatever you do, Do smart and adapt over time. Take your time to get there. I do think Barefoot is great. I think it should be part of your training, you know. Obviously you don't want to do a ridiculous amount, you want to do some of it. You know what, couple times a week once you know, for a cool-down start with just 15 to 20 minutes, stronger feet lead to better performances and stronger muscles. Use something like the Nike Free or one of those Minimalist Shoes will really help. So I think that most people can add Barefoot training but it's in the subtle details of how you do it. You know most people run into problems because they just jump into it and try to do that. Also think you know you can use a lot of different running shoes to simulate some of the stuff so you can go like a minimalist shoe or almost Barefoot and then erasing flat. And then, you know, have a couple degrees of shoes if you can. I think that will really help, you know, I've know tons of people that have prevented injuries by using a lot of different shoes, because, you know, preventing some of the overuse stuff of chronic, you know, injury stuff.

What do marathon has think of barefoot Runners? Wow, super interesting question. I grew up in rural Kenya. I didn't have shoes, you know, until I was in fourth grade when that's when I started running. And even my first few runs were actually on foot and that was fine because that was all I knew, you know. And we've also seen, you know, a lot of Runners, especially cross country Runners from like third, world countries. Go to International competition, say, like a world cross country championships and run Barefoot, and it's works fine. You know, when that's all, you know, I rest a lot of my first races Barefoot, you know, because I just wasn't used to shoes. And I think, even at one of the greatest Ethiopian marathoner, you know, like rest Barefoot. Now, today, I don't think I could run Barefoot, my feet. I've gotten so spoiled and they will never be. I would get blisters all over them. So I think that If that's what you used to, if that's what you're comfortable with you, probably could get away with it. But if it's a long race to, I'm not sure how you could run a marathon Barefoot, I really don't know that. You can handle the pounding on the road, you know, all of the cracks, all of the, you know, gravel that is there barefoot, I will not recommend it. And also, you know, like these days, you know, we have this super shoes that will help you, you know, run faster, you know, help with your recovery. And you know did Lay fatigue and so like I don't know that I will choose to run Barefoot unless they were some super, you know, science proving evidence to help you. With at this point I have not actually I have not read anything about it, maybe they have benefits but I don't know that I would recommend it but hey, you know, to each their own. If it works for you great, but I definitely will take the advantage of having the shoes, you know, for cushioning and you know, for delaying You know, for delay fatigue, and also for making sure that you're not stepping on a glass because you're running on the road. It's not, it's not clear, you know, there's a lot of stuff on the road. Anyways, yeah, that's what I will do.

I can't speak on behalf of all marathoners but this marathoner right here, really appreciates the, the barefoot running movement and people that are really exploring their own strengths in that regard. So, as long as you're running, it's good news to me.
