Hey Brett, I thought I'd throw in my two cents worth here. And I listened to the other experts that have answered so far. I think all that I would add in terms of a shoe for Triathlon is that it's worthwhile, even because of the expense. It's worthwhile to train in the super, super shoes that you intend to race in to do your quality and your specific workouts in those super shoes, because, you know, they increase your Triangle, they increase your stride length. A whole lot of things are happening there, which you need to adapt to, to gain the most economical benefit from those. And then the big Advantage, nowadays is that the Super Shoes are now accessible to individual runners in the past. Normally, it would require a lightweight, delete Runner to run in the racing Flats because there was so light and they had so little cushioning and you know, the elite Runners like to feel that tuned for Feeling of the road, but most most Runners couldn't get away with that. So they would have to wear heavy shoes and then, you know, find a slightly lighter shoe that was still cushioned enough to run, say a marathon and then maybe only 5K and 10K. Could they use those very light shoes but most of us could only use regular training shoes. Anyway, so what the Super Shoes bring to the party is that they are generally. Well cushioned a very soft shoes. I was surprised when I put on my first pair of super And I did a couple of strides in them that it was a shoe that I could do all my training in, you know, and so I'm a bigger individual and so, you know, before the Super Shoes came around, I used to recommend to athletes who were running off the bike, because we know they're proprioceptive Lee, the older, we get the harder, we put our feet down and then also proprioceptive lie. When we get off the bike, we tend to put our feet down a little harder as well. And so I used to recommend a little bit more of a cushion shoe. But of course, what Opens mechanically when you're wearing a lighter shoe and you wearing a super shoe, is you have a slightly different gate? Its accelerated gate, right? So it's important to train in those as well. So other than the expense Factor, they tend to be sufficiently cushioned to do your quality training work in as well, which is a good way to simulate racing.

Hybrid, this is clearly a multi-level question. So let's break it up into different points of view. Let's start with the distance, the longer the race, the more cushioning, and more comfortable, to shoe needs to be. So that you hold your Technique all the way through, and you can even consider having one size bigger shoe because your feet can get bigger the longer you run, especially in the eat and they hydration and Action and taking sodium in your feet. Someone sometimes really swell. So having a little bit more space in the shoes is really good thing to have. On the other hand for Sprint, distance. Your shoes can be a lot lighter. And even, especially, if you are not using socks, check the inside of the shoe to make sure that it doesn't give you any scratches or blisters if you are really on a super Sprint distance. Very important aspect is how fast you can put that shoe on your feet, not to lose any time in a transition area. The other thing is the surface which you are going to run on. So if it's like most threatened on a pavement, you are aiming for Road shoe. If you are going into the some kind of Trail like extra races, you have to split it even more. Whether the trail will be something like muddy and soft, then you need something. Aggressive on the bottom of your shoes and the shoe can be harder itself. If the trail is more dry on the stones. You can even be fine with. Let's say a stronger approach. Ooh, the other thing to consider a CR. Wait, so the heavier you are. The more cautioning you need the lighter? You are the lighter shoes? Qualities of a good at running shoe for Triathlon. Well one that doesn't give you blisters doesn't give you black toenails. Is comfortable, doesn't fatigue. You too much or doesn't give you injuries. I would say so and that's very specific to the individual and what they're running style is as. So I would definitely say having a run at analysis is good and then having a shoe fitted that sort of fits your running running style. And obviously there's a lot of talk about The carbon plated shoes and the advantage a have. I mean, yeah, I think they do give a bit of an advantage. I think that, I mean I have some carbon plated shoes, I run in Hawkers, but I have done for five or six years and and I love the shoes. They do have a variety of shoes which I use for different training sessions. So if I'm on the trails I use a different shoe or if it's faster repeats, and then I have a favorite shoe that I wear for racing but The qualities are all that. They are just comfortable for me. They don't give me blisters. I feel sassy in them. So and this might sound stupid. I feel I have big feet. And so when I look at my feet, I don't want to see a big shoe on my feet. So if the shoe I'm wearing makes my foot look smaller. I feel faster. Not sure, that's anything scientifically proven. But yeah, I would just say qualities of a good running shoe for Triathlon, like just for most people with most things, it's it's the comfort and the fit not She why not too big not too small? Obviously something that holds your foot in place that supports you but allows that spring in that forward motion, but is an efficiency. I'd say, that's probably a big thing. Especially for the long course. The longer course, is like super efficient. So a lot of the running in the marathon or half-marathon, it's more about efficiency and that speed, but the efficiency of speed you want to prolong the fatigue and prolong the slowing down at, you know, as long as possible. So if you have a shoe that can help you do that. That's even better. As well.

What are the qualities of a good running shoe for Triathlon? What are the qualities of a good running shoe for running? That's, that's the real question. And it's all about your foot and how your foot Works, to find the right one. You need to have somebody identify how you run the surfaces, you run on and how your foot works, and they need to watch you run the bulk of my motion analysis background. I've been doing this since 96 is in open chain biomechanics, and there are a lot of variables. Comes to people's feet. If you have a varus for foot, if you have a rigid foot all of these things, the shape with flexibility, all that kind of stuff changes the way your foot works both while it's in the air. And while it's on the ground here, we use a 60 thousand dollar or interacts on treadmill that has pressure sensors and it that show me exactly how. Your foot works from the moment of impact to the moment of toe off and it it'll allow us to make any sort of shoe recommendation or insole recommendation that is needed, as far as qualities. Go other than the fact that you get the right shoe, the actual right shoe for you in Triathlon. It definitely doesn't hurt for it to breathe really well, and you always want to get the lightest shoe. Hello, my good qualities of a running shoe for Triathlon. It's got to be the fit. I mean, everyone's going carbon there quicker. I don't know if they're quicker for someone who's running. Kind of like a four-hour. Five hours six hour marathon, like some of the age group has but if it gives them the mental Edge, definitely do it for the short course, kind of that Olympic distance and down, they run without socks. So I guess you've got to really try them out and make sure you don't get blisters. Long course. Yeah, maybe something slightly heavier. But again, everyone's going for these Crazy carbon shoes for the pros. They're going to run in what they're paid to running. But yeah, there's some great shoes out. I think I think yeah, you really got go to a good running shot, get the person who works there to really advise you. Well, it's probably cheaper to order online as well, which is sad because they do support, say support local businesses. But yeah, no standout show at the moment.
