The question is, what are the most important findings from animal behavior research? So I think that overall there's been a lot of different wonderful things we've learned about animals since researching their behavior. Probably one of the most significant things is the fact that they have their own personalities and we can see that they've got emotions. So just like humans, being able to connect with animals in an emotional way is one of the reasons why we really care a lot about certain species. So we care a lot about dogs because they can emotionally connect to us. We can read their behavior really well. So by studying more about animals, we can connect more people to animals and get more people to care about animals if we show that they've got similar type emotions. Another thing that has come out of great animals is animal behavior research is the fact that they're highly, highly intelligent. A lot more intelligent than we thought before we started studying. It's pretty well known that the great apes are very intelligent, dolphins are, but did you know that pigs are super intelligent? Rodents, believe it or not, are. They're capable of complex problem solving. Those are things that we would have never been able to discover or anything about dolphins for that matter had we not had this kind of research into their cognitive ability.
