I think when you look at the challenges and opportunities in the fire service, I think there's a lot of it stems to the individuals, the people and when you look at that from a perspective it's the physicality of it, the the mental components and then tying it all together is the biggest thing. I think that a lot of the academies and a lot of the schools do a great job with teaching the students about the fire service. I think it's tying everything back in together, that is the biggest Last challenge of the fire service and we've always had that challenge. I mean a lot of people will go through their careers and and they have great careers but it's when I'm done with that because a lot of us identify with the fire service as us and I think that's one of the bigger things is to identify that and figure out how to move forward. There's a lot of opportunities to be able to grow and I think we can all do it together.

What are the current challenges and opportunities in the field of fire studies and how can we address them? Well, I think I'm gonna stick with challenges first really for this answer. I think one of the biggest challenges out there is being able to train enough on the number of rescue disciplines and and potential emergency scenes that we have to face in the fire service. It's just become so convoluted, complicated and broad that we have too many subject areas to train in and not enough time to train within them and consequently that makes our safety on scene and our ability to mitigate those scenes just not as good. Another challenge I think out there is hiring the right people. I think we have fallen into just staring at resumes that are loaded with the right certifications, still stuck on the same three, four, five fundamental physical inaptitude tests and the same old interview question bank and we're all shocked that people are failing out of fire academies, they're failing in probation or they have misconduct issues later on in their careers. We need to kind of take a look at hiring for character. We currently don't. I think that's a huge challenge in the fire service.
