How do you celebrate a good result?

My favorite way to celebrate a good result, is really just with other people. Whether that be family and friends who were at the race or Tommy, my husband who is most often there. I just love having people there to kind of share the experience with. And it's also my favorite to when I have a bad race is to have that support network and then we'll often do like, go out for something good. That's local to where we are or Or I always enjoy like a good burger after race or ice cream.

How do I celebrate a good result like everyone else. Put it on social media, didn't happen. If it's not an Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, whatever. The medium is, but no, seriously, normally for an International race. I'm often on my own. So, yeah, go back to the hotel. Normally there's someone, I know they're go out for a nice dinner Pat, my bike and head home and then normally I celebrate probably, you know, 48 hours after with my my family. We either make pizzas in the garden or we go out for a nice dinner. But ya gotta put on social media. First, that's what counts.

Such a good question. How do we celebrate a good result? Because I think I very quickly tear my results apart. And as athletes, we are constantly looking and we analyze. And we think about what could be improved it very quickly that we forget that it actually was a it was a good result and it was a solid day and we've sort of already picked it apart and want to do better and finding the next things we can improve on. But how do I celebrate a good result? I think. I think it helps and you know, talking things through with your coach and just reassure yourself. Yeah. That was a that was a good performance in May and it was a good I think good performance is better than maybe good results. And that yeah, just take a few days to let it soak in probably, you know, have a little bit of a seller drink or treat yourself to a meal or something like that, or just catch up with friends and let it sink in a little bit and take some time to remember it because I think all too often And as athletes, we are already moved on to the next race. And next training sessions X performance. And I think we forget to savor and appreciate the the race or the performance. So, yeah. I think that's probably well.

So I like to celebrate a good result with well it used to be a curry. And yeah that was when I was back at home racing a lot in England and we had our favorite kind of Curry spot just near where I lived. Now it's yeah normally we're somewhere else and we go for a good pizza drinks. And yeah just just a nice chilled kind of evening with good food. Hopefully an award ceremony and yeah, just spend it with the people that And have helped me in China, help me get there. Always with my team and when we come home, same thing, maybe we'll go out for a nice meal or something or go for a picnic with the dog eyes. But yeah, normally it's thick and fast. I think this is gonna be a bit different is going to be bigger spaces between the races so maybe I can relax and enjoy them a bit more. But for example, this weekend, I'm racing in the next weekend I'm racing. So it's straight into recovery and full on. Focus on recovery. And after this one,

I mean a beer always tastes good after a race, a little bit better. Taste good after a bad race to, but overall, I think just celebrating with family, having a nice dinner, recounting the race.
