How can parents know if their baby might need a chiropractic adjustment? So first and foremost, birth is traumatic. It's hard work. Whether birth was filled with intervention or not with intervention, birth is still hard work for both mom and baby. So every child should at least have the opportunity to be checked by a chiropractor to make sure that there's no interference to their nervous systems. There was a research study that showed that 99 out of 100 infants did have some sort of interference, especially to the upper neck, after birth. So highly recommend finding a trusted chiropractor who can be on your infant's team. As far as symptoms or signs that you can look out for, one is colic. Just babies who are just not feeling well, a lot of digestive issues, so any type of constipation, reflux, these are all signs that a baby might need to be seen by a chiropractor. A lot of times, parents will be told or advised to just either give medications or to do belly massages, things like that. And what we find is that actually this is just a band-aid for actually getting to the root of the issue, and that is usually an issue within the nervous system. So a lot of times we're not seeing kiddos grow out of colic, constipation, reflux, but they're actually growing into new challenges as they grow up into toddler and childhood, but we just put a new label on it, right? We're supposed to be adaptable beings, so kids aren't necessarily growing out of these challenges, but growing into these challenges. So, great question.
