So the question is, have I ever been surprised by the amount of positive feedback to one of my photos? And yes, this photo right here, this is a band by the name of One. Ok, Rock I photographed at self-help festival. San Bernardino California a number of years ago. I don't remember the exact year and fantastic Band live, so enjoyed photographing, these guys, and when I got this shot, I posted it on Instagram and I did all the normal tags. And I tagged the bass player here that's in the shot. And I tagged the band And and use hashtags as well as that tags. And little did I know because I had not been familiar with the band. Before I photographed them, they are huge in Japan and all the fans found that shot and it got so bad that I had to turn off notifications for about three days.

The question is, have you ever been surprised by the amount of positive attention? One of your photographs has gotten absolutely? And I'm always grateful when a lot of people respond positively to a particular image and when they respond quite a bit that I'm really curious what it was about that particular image and I want to be able to define the success of particular image. Why? That particular image resonated with so many people. So I'm grateful. I'll try Look at the image, critically, you know, what works, you know what? I thought was working that kind of thing and what could be better and sometimes it's just not the photo itself, it's the emotion of the photo, it's the feeling of a particular image. So those may be the things that people are attracted to not just the physical part of the photo. And I'm always curious because I'm experimenting with photography and I might do something that's outside of my range. So, if a lot of people are Excited about it or happy about it or connected to it then I might be going down that path again. So I'm always grateful to see people's responses to a particular image.

I love this question. Have you ever been surprised by the amount of positive attention? One of your photographs has gotten its happened? Numerous times? I'm very thankful for that but I got to tell you. It often puts me in a tailspin because I'm trying to figure out what is it about that? Photograph compared to others that just a, you know, that why is that particular photograph or photographs depending on the scenario gets so much positive. Engine. There's obvious things. I mean, if you have, you know, like say Instagram, you have anything that's red in a photograph on Instagram that everybody along, you know, it's got because it got red, but there's other things where it's like, really I never thought that would be the one. So it's happened. Many times and seriously, I spend a lot of time figuring out, what is it that I did? Correct? That. At got so much positive attention and that's a great question because you can learn a lot by noticing that and then asking those questions. So thanks for asking that question.

The question is, have you ever been surprised by the amount of positive attention one of your photographs has gotten? And the answer is yes, and more than once, and more than twice. We can't judge our own work objectively. We just can't. We're part of it. We made it. We've got to let a lot of time go back and then come back to look at it to be even somewhat objective. But more times than not, I'll put up images that I think are really good, and they'll get a mediocre response. And images that I think are kind of okay will surprise me with the response they get, which proves again that we cannot be objective in judging our own work. We just can't. Don't even try for a while. Wait a while, then come back to it.

I am very amazed at the attention that this image scored for me. This is Hemsy as the mighty Thor with Stormbreaker in Thor Love and Thunder. As you can see there, at that stage it had 469,000 love hearts and I never dreamed in a million years that I'd get that many likes. I've only got 95,000 followers so that's 5 times more likes than what I have followers. That's pretty astounding. Now, if it's not over 500,000 it's pretty close to it. But yeah, this was a surprise. It's a pretty rad shot though. Even I like it. There are a lot of photos of mine I don't like but this one has got it all going on. Hemsy liked it as well so a bit of a win all round there. It's got everything. It's got some wind, it's got muscles, it's got the Boston type jeans. So yeah, I'd love to hear your guys too. Just leave a comment down below and let me know. Have you ever been surprised by amount of positive attention, one of your photographs has gotten? No, I reckon when I look at photos that I take, you can kind of feel the ones that stand out above everything else and the attention that they're going to get, guess a little bit surprised sometimes but you feel it in the first instance I reckon before I even put them out there.
