Do rock climbers have coaches? I'd say it's a pretty mixed bag in comparison to other team sports. But since climbing is a pretty individual sport, whether or not someone is going to have a coach is really going to depend on how personally invested or how much time they have to put into their own climbing. But as far as professional rock climbers go, a lot of them do have a coach or had a coach that they worked with in the past to improve their training or their nutrition or whatever. And so for myself, personally, right now, I have a training coach that helps me with my strength training throughout the year. I have a psychologist/mental training coach that helps me build mental strength and resilience towards things like fear of falling or fear of failure, things like that. And then I even have a nutritionist that helps me develop meal plans throughout the year based on whatever I'm doing in climbing at the time. And then lastly, I have a physical therapist or a massage therapist that helps me work with things about injury prevention and that sort of thing. So yeah, a lot of people have coaches. Some people don't. Really just depends on what you're trying to get out of your climbing, and what you need to work on.

So, do rock, climbers have coaches. I think the answer to this is yes or no. Obviously, there's a lot of people climbing who don't have coaches, you know, you can just go to the local Climbing Gym, you can get an introduction and then you can go climbing. But then there's a lot of people who obviously are taking climbing more seriously and they can go and get themselves a coach. And I think these days climbing coaches and climbing coaching in general, has really taken off in the last few years, and there's companies and Individuals who are doing kind of personal climbing, coaching writing training programs and giving you information about coaching and what you need to do technique like physical aspects that you need in climbing. And even as a more beginner and intermediate climbing, you can find these services. And then again right up to the end of the kind of professional athlete level of climbing, then they are also. Also getting coached so the people that are doing World Cups and competition climbing often, they will have a personal coach that goes to the competitions with them and helps them with their kind of daily training.

Do rock climbers have coaches? I would say that yes, those that are the upper level elite climbers definitely have coaches, those folks on the Olympic level and those official world cup climbers. Then there are other folks who just want to improve who can go to the climbing gym, their local gym and get a coach. Some folks go ahead and get a remote coach so they can get an online coach and that can help them improve their fitness and improve their technique. Some people just have a mentor that lives near them and they help coach them to become a better more efficient climber. So yes, coaching will help you excel if that is what you want to do and climbers have coaches, but not all climbers have coaches.
