Can giving your pet cat specific vitamins help with preventing the spread of cancer? The short answer to this is no. To my knowledge, there's been no studies linking specific vitamins and preventing cancer. There are definitely vitamins that potentially have or supplements that have anti-cancer effects, but whether that's been proven, I mean, cancer represents a whole slew of disorders of various pathophysiologies. So I think saying that vitamins are going to prevent cancer is really unlikely. It's also potentially dangerous. If your cat is eating a regular balanced diet and you then supplement vitamins on top of that, you can actually lead to excess of certain vitamins, which can be more dangerous. So this is something that you want to talk to your veterinarians about if you're thinking of supplementing with a specific vitamin or supplement.
