So specialized tools or techniques I use when providing treatments to my patients. So manual adjustments, with that our table, our chiropractic table does something called flexion distraction which allows us to create more space and open up the low back. I also use with my pediatric patients, this may be a surprise, I use Otoscope. We have a treat and work with a lot of kids with ear infections so we're always looking to see what's going on inside their ears. Graston technique, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization is one of my go-to's. I would probably say I use that on almost every patient but cool thing is you only have to use this for 30 seconds to 3 minutes max maybe. We also have tape. I don't use that all the time but a lot of times, I mean really commonly throughout the day but just not on every patient. We use, I have a pediatric adjusting table which you've probably seen in some of my videos but my little lion table is really great for kids who are 4 to actually 2 or 3 until they're about 8 or 10 depending and then we use the bigger table for that. And then lastly specialized tools, we use an iPad. We have some really cool educational apps on there that we show people their anatomy, how things are supposed to move and how theirs are moving as well as our good old-fashioned sign. The question is, do you use any specialized tools or techniques when providing treatment, we like to say care, to your patients? Absolutely, 100%. So it depends on the case and what exactly is showing up during our examination. We in our office like to use Insight CLA scans, which gives us objective measures and data points into what exactly is going on in the autonomic or automatic nervous system. So it depends, one, on what those scans show, whether or not we need to do a high force, adjustment, or technique versus a low force adjustment or technique. There's a lot of different factors that we use to make sure that we are using the correct technique for the practice member that is in front of us. So things that impact the techniques that we use is like, okay, what are the goals for the patient? What exactly are the scans showing? Also how is the practice member presenting? We adjust if someone is experiencing anxiety or if someone is experiencing say depressive like feelings, we would adjust those people differently. So very dependent on person to person and again, what the nervous system actually needs. We use a variety of different techniques in the office. We use a tool called the integrator. We use our hands. We do the drop table, which again is a low force technique. We do Logan Basic, Diversified, a little Gonstead, MC2, a lot of complicated techniques to figure out what exactly the practice member or patients need.
